Titleist Tour Soft golf ball review: NGC verdict
I tested the Titleist Tour Soft golf ball on both long and short-game shots at the Titleist Performance Centre at Woburn Golf Club. Instantly I was surprised at just how soft they felt on impact, especially around the green.
I first tested the ball on long game shots using a driver, 7-iron and then hitting a 60-yard pitch shot. I had a slightly higher launch across all different shots but the loss of distance on my 7-iron is what surprised me the most. I was losing almost 10 yards with a 7-iron carry and around 5 yards for a driver. The soft feel of the ball feels great at impact and I liked how in control the ball felt, however, if you are prioritising gaining distance this may not be the ball for you.
