What’s in Schauffele’s bag at the Masters?January 7, 2019 Golf Equipment
We take a look at the clubs the Callaway Staff player is using to climb the leaderboard at Augusta National
Callaway staffer Xander Schauffele is in contention going in to the final stretch of holes at The Masters.
Schauffele was previously a TaylorMade staffer when he won the Tour Championship in 2017.
He was also an Adidas player. And like Sergio Garcia he stuck with Adidas but signed a deal with Callaway after the TaylorMade-Adidas split.
His driver of choice for the Masters was the Epic Flash Sub Zero which has more weight moved closer to the face for lower spin.
In out testing we found the Sub Zero to offer a little bit more distance at the expense of a bit of forgiveness and tighter dispersion.
Schauffele obviously finds the middle more often than we do.
Schauffele has the Apex 19 Pro irons in play which we have also tested out recently.
He has a mixture of Mack Daddy 4 and Titleist SM6 wedges.
His putter is an Odyssey Toulon Prototype Putter with a new stroke lab shaft.
