Well it’s certainly been a busy week for one brand.
First they sent us this err… golf survival box? which we had hours of fun trying to guess what was inside.

Then Rory McIlroy announced he had joined the TaylorMade family (whatever that means) and the following day the company announced they had been sold to a NY private equity firm.
The McIlroy news highlighted just how loyal some golfers are to the TaylorMade brand. I noticed a number of tweets from club golfers welcoming Rory to ‘the team’.
Sorry folks but just having a Rocketballz 3-wood in the bag doesn’t make you a staff player.

You may have noticed last year how Titleist released the super-premium C16 concept irons to the US market.
Well now UK golfers can get their hands on them at the brand’s Titleist Thursdays fitting events. And if you have £3,000 to spare you can buy yourself a set.
The C16 irons feature ultra-premium materials and advanced construction methods.

Bushnell add stylish GPS watch
Bushnell have launched the Excel Golf GPS watch which provides golfers with key information out on the course – and looks slick enough to wear off it.
The Excel also utilises integrated Bluetooth technology to work seamlessly with the new Bushnell Golf App which means the user can receive call alerts, messages and calendar notifications straight to their watch.
The app also allows golfers to book tee times, pay, confirm and set tee time notifications all from their smart phone.

Lamkin launch Justin Rose’s Flat Cat
Did you notice Justin Rose’s unusual putter grip at the Masters?

Golfers take advantage of free Motocaddy app
I’m sure you’ll have notice our piece earlier this year on the new Motocaddy S5 Connect trolley – the first from the brand with a built-in GPS function.
The trolley isn’t available to buy yet but the free app has been going down a storm.
In April more than 13,000 downloads were made of the app which can be used as a stand-alone, fully-featured mobile GPS device.
The app can be synced with Motocaddy’s S5 Connect when it hits retail this summer.
