On this week's episode of The Slam, things get messy as Alex Perry and George Cooper battle it out in the great LIV Golf vs OWGR vs the Ryder Cup debate

On this week’s episode of The Slam, a National Club Golfer podcast, Alex Perry and George Cooper fall out about the great LIV Golf vs Official World Golf Ranking debate. The duo then reunite in agreement when unpacking Jon Rahm’s comments about whether the breakaway league players should play in the Ryder Cup or not.

Elsewhere, we celebrate another English winner Stateside, while diving into the bizarre story about Thomas Bjorn – the likes of which we’ve never heard.

It’s all incredibly messy, so let’s try and unpick it…

Alex Perry

Alex has been the editor of National Club Golfer since 2017. A Devonian who enjoys wittering on about his south west roots, Alex moved north to join NCG after more than a decade in London, the last five of which were with ESPN. Away from golf, Alex follows Torquay United and spends too much time playing his PlayStation or his guitar and not enough time practising his short game.
