All the talk ahead of the Players Championship was about Rory McIlroy signing a deal with TaylorMade.
But it was another TaylorMade staff player in the shape of Si Woo Kim who took the honours at TPC Sawgrass.
There’s been a few significant equipment changes for the Korean over the past six months.
When Kim landed his first PGA Tour win back at the Wyndham Championship he was using the 2016 M1 driver and 2014 Tour preferred irons.
He’s now upgraded to the 2017 M1 driver and 3-wood and has put the brand new P770 and P750 irons in the bag.
The P770 and P750 irons have made their way into Sergio Garcia and Rory McIlroy’s bag and are what the brand believe to be their most complete players irons. They certainly look the business.
He’s stuck with the same Titleist Vokey SM6 wedges which he used for his maiden PGA Tour win but has moved into the new TaylorMade TP5X golf ball.
He’s also switched from an Odyssey to a Scotty Cameron putter in recent months.
