There’s been a number of changes to Ryan Fox’s bag for the 2019 season and they’ve already started to pay off as the New Zealander recorded his first European Tour victory at the World Super 6 Perth.
What’s in Ryan Fox’s winning bag?
Fox used the Callaway Rogue Sub Zero throughout 2018 but switched to the Srixon Z 785 driver at the HSBC Abu Dhabi Championship and has kept the driver in the bag since.
The results are already showing as he had the longest drive on the European Tour at the Vic Open with a tremendous drive of 383 yards.
Despite switching to Srixon’s driver, he added the Callaway Epic Flash 3-wood to his bag for the Abu Dhabi Championship, replacing his Callaway Rogue Sub Zero.
Srixon released their Z85 irons last year and Fox has had the irons in play from release, and uses the Srixon Z 785 irons from his 4-iron to his pitching wedge.
The New Zealander also has a Srixon Z U85 utility iron in his bag and switches between a 2 and a 3-iron depending on the golf course he is playing.
Fox has made a minor change to his wedges over the past couple of month’s as he has switched from the Cleveland RTX 3 to the RTX 4 model and uses a 51º, 54º and 60º set up.
Another change that Fox made at the Abu Dhabi Championship was switching from the Toulon Design Austin blade putter to the TaylorMade Spider Tour Red putter.
