What you may have missed from the busiest week of the year
The busiest new equipment week of the year is in the books.
We’re sure you’ll have seen our Ping, Mizuno, FootJoy and Titleist video reviews.
And the details of the clubs Tiger Woods will be using for his first PGA Tour event of 2019.
But there has been a whole raft of new gear releases which our team on the ground at the PGA Show have been helping us round up.
New golf equipment 2019: Scotty Cameron Phantom X putters
Scotty Cameron says he has introduced his most technically advanced line to date.
The Phantom X range, which replaces the Futura line, includes nine mallets with multiple shaft bend and alignment options.
“Phantom X is by far the most high-tech putter line we’ve designed to date,” Cameron said.
“This product is so much faster looking, and taken to the next level, that it needed a new name. It’s a major leap in performance. We’ve designed a variety of flange setups, alignment options and shaft bends to offer mallet players more models to choose from.
“I was inspired by tour players who’ve asked for slightly smaller profiles with more alignment options and solid face construction.
“The engineering has been ramped up to an entirely new level to bring this brand-new line to life. Phantom X is the ultimate lineup for mallet players.”
Adam Scott was seen using a Phantom X putter at the Sony Open.
Each new Phantom X putter features advanced stability weighting with two, customisable stainless steel heel-toe weights and stepless steel shafts.
The nine models will be available from April 12th.

New golf equipment 2019: Lynx switch face drivers?
We’ve seen advancements in driver adjustability over the past few years but this is defintely a first for me.
Lynx’s new Prowler VT model has an adjustable face. Intrigued?
The entire face of the driver is completely removable which allows loft to be changed via the face rather than the hosel.
So each model will be available with a variety of faces – each with a different loft.
The loft angle stated on each face is the loft angle that is always presented at address while keeping the clubhead square to the ball.
Driver face plates with 1-2˚ open and closed settings are also available for those golfers preferring a draw or fade bias.
“We are extremely proud to be breaking new ground in driver adjustability and this club is a complete game-changer,” said Lynx CEO Steve Elford.
“Lynx’s SFT (switch face technology) offers golfers true loft change options for the very first time in a driver.
“With adjustable hosel drivers, while golfers believe they can change the loft they are also altering lie angle and face angle and this either toes the driver head in (closes it) or opens it out to varying degrees.
“So, while adjustable hosel drivers do give golfers multiple options to configure their clubheads, maintaining the perfect true loft and face angle combination is almost impossible.”
SRP: £429

New golf equipment 2019: Adidas Tour 360 now available spikeless
Adidas have unveiled the Tour 360 XT SL, the first-ever spikeless version of the Tour 360.
There is also a cleated XT that features the highest-performing cleated outsole the brand has ever made.
The new models earn their names from the X-shaped traction system on the outsole, providing multi-directional grip throughout the swing.

New golf equipment 2019: Slate blue finish added to Vokey SM7
The Vokey SM7 wedges are now available in a stunning slate blue option.
The SM7 have been the over-whelming number one wedge on the PGA and European Tours since they were launched this time last year.
The rich slate finish with a tint of blue provides a premium non-glare finish, with the durability of a traditional chrome wedge.
