Fan pulls off the stuff of legend at Augusta (or so we think)
If there’s one thing we’ve learned about Reddit over the years, it’s that it can be absolute gold mine for golf content – helping to source many of the extraordinary feats, hole-in-one heroics and mind-boggling club stories which we’ve become a sucker for.
But upon scowling the online community this week, we think we’ve found what might just be the greatest and funniest golf photo of all time. That is, if it’s real of course.
The epic image was posted by ‘ActLikeYouBelong’, and highlights a fan showing up to Augusta National Club for the 2007 Masters, equipped with his very own golf clubs and trolley to match…
Apparently the man – who we’re told English is not his first language – had mistaken his Masters practice ticket for a literal practice ticket, leading him to believe he would be teeing up on Augusta’s hallowed turf! Here’s the hilarious photo in all it’s glory…
Absolute scenes. Now who this hero is or whether the story is 100% true still remains to be seen. But if real, it’s the stuff of legend and even puts the Scott Stallings Masters mix-up to shame.
