WITB: Justin Thomas – WGC Bridgestone Invitational
Justin Thomas bagged yet another win at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational to put himself in a perfect position to defend his PGA Championship title next week.
Thomas has this year switched from the D2 model in his Titleist 917 driver to the TS3, which first got an outing at the US Open.
He’s also put a new TS 3-wood in the bag to replace his 917.
The new Titleist TS metals are still under a media embargo until next month but we have seen a healthy number of Titleist staff players making the switch.
We haven’t had our hands on them yet but will be bringing you full reviews as soon as we can.
This year we have also seen Thomas put a Titleist 718 AP2 4-iron in the bag in place of the 718 CB model which he had been using at the back end of 2017.
And we have a slightly adjusted wedge set-up with a 60.5˚ Vokey SM6 model added.
Thomas is now looking to become only the second player after Tiger Woods to defend the PGA Championship in the strokeplay era of the tournament.
