WITB: Justin Thomas – CJ Cup
Justin Thomas relied on a bag full of Titleist equipment as made it six wins for the year at the inaugural CJ Cup in South Korea.
He didn’t have things all his own way and needed a play-off to triumph over Australia’s Marc Leishman.
The pair finished on -9 but Thomas won it with a birdie on the second extra hole after Leishman’s approach to the par-5 18th found the water hazard.
It has been a sensational 2017 for Thomas who landed his first major at the PGA, took the money in the FedEx Cup and won the tour’s ‘golfer of the year’.
Thomas put the new Titleist 718 MB irons in the bag ahead of his PGA Championship win.

Thomas uses a Scotty Cameron Futura X5 prototype putter.
His request for a for a smaller mallet with easy alignment, promoting an arced stroke actually resulted in the Futura 5.5M model being released to the public.
Thomas was early to adopt the 917 woods, including the D3 driver, and fairway woods.
He has a mix of Vokey SM5 and SM6 wedges in the bag and favours the Titleist Pro V1x ball.
Thomas wears FootJoy Icon shoes and Ralph Lauren clothing.
