Equipment editor Hannah Holden takes a look at the new TaylorMade clubs Jon Rahm has put in the bag for 2019
Jon Rahm has already made a series of changes to his golf bag this year which has helped him seal victory at the Irish Open.
We take a look inside the Spaniard’s bag.
What’s in Rahm’s bag?
Rahm previously had the M4 Driver in play in 2018 before replacing it with the M2 for the Ryder Cup at Le Golf National. Since then he has made the switch to the new M5 model which has seen him gain over five yards on his distance off the tee.
As well as the new M5 Driver, Rahm has chosen to upgrade his 3-wood to the new Taylormade M5.
The Spaniard has also kept his P750 irons in the bag for 2019, opting to play them from his 5-iron to his pitching wedge and they are equipped them with Project X 6.5 shafts.
Rahm has adjusted his wedge lofts for this season transitioning from 51°, 55° and 60° to a new setup of 52°, 56° and 60°.
In 2018 he had two TaylorMade Milled Grind wedges combined with a Hi-Toe wedge for his 60°. However, this season he has chosen to play with all Hi-Toe wedges (52°, 56° & 60°).
Unsurprisingly Rahm has chosen to keep the Spider Tour Red putter in his bag. This has served him well over the past few seasons, including holing a 60-foot eagle putt to win his first PGA Tour title at the Farmers Insurance Open in 2017.
He also uses the new Taylormade TP5x and wears Adidas clothing.
