Jin Young Ko is a free agent and is free to pick which gear she wants. She tells Hannah Holden why

Jin Young Ko cemented her place at the top of the women’s world rankings with an emphatic win at the CME Group Tour Championship.

A final round 66 which featured seven birdies saw her finish five ahead of runner-up Hannah Green.

Let’s take a look inside the Korean’s bag…

Ko doesn’t currently have an equipment deal. Instead she has a mixed set of golf clubs featuring numerous different brands.

We asked the two-time major champion in a recent interview why she is a free agent and she said she “likes the freedom to choose what’s best for me”.

She added: “The equipment must fit me well and give me a certain peace of mind. It also must satisfy my standards in terms of technical results.”

So what does she opt for?

Her driver is the Callaway Epic Flash Sub Zero and she also carries a 3- and 5-wood in the same model. She then switches to a Titleist 818 H1 hybrid to complete her metalwood setup.

Ko carries Bridgestone Tour B X-CB irons from 5-iron down to pitching wedge. These sit alongside her Ping Glide Forged wedges in 50-, 52- and 60-degree lofts.
