The FootJoy Thermoseries and Hydroseries apparel ranges are here to keep you warm and dry this winter. Hannah Holden has all the details
If you’re going to brave the elements this winter, you better make sure you have the right kit to keep you warm and dry. FootJoy has four key autumn winter apparel ranges covering men’s and women’s styles to ensure you find something to fit your style and game.
The FootJoy Thermoseries is a brand new range of FootJoy apparel specifically aimed at protecting golfers against cold weather.
It includes a series of garments designed to be layered together to provide optimal thermal protection.
Across the range we see a neutral colour palette with a navy and charcoal base which allows you to build a versatile range of outfits with the same key pieces.
The main outerwear jacket in the Thermoseries range. The sleeves and back have a fleece-like luxury feel from the brushed back jacquard knit. To offer a bold contrast, the front uses a Cire patterning. I really like the additional small details such as the adjustable collar so you can dial in the sizing and warmth here.
This FootJoy vest has a block colour look from afar but up close has a really nice subtle hex pattern which adds visual interest and feel. On the back we see a vertical knit section to add more stretch and mobility in your back swing.
A base layer is key when it comes to layering and keeping warm without the bulk. It uses golf compression fit to ensure freedom of movement in the swing. This has a series of small ridges which allows air to circulate and prevents overheating.
The Hydroseries range is another main feature of FootJoy’s Autumn Winter Apparel collection. If the name didn’t give it away, these pieces are about keeping you protected from wet conditions.
The range features a series of striking outerwear jackets that offer waterproof protection at a variety of price points. All of the Hydroseries jackets also have matching waterproof trousers to keep you dry from head to toe.
FootJoy’s top-of-the-range waterproof offering. It offers 20,000mm of water column pressure protection to keep you dry no matter the weather conditions.
Another full zip waterproof offering, this is thinner and offers versatile rain protection for days when the temperature is warmer.
A thinner more lightweight rainwear option for players who want more stretch and freedom and also who don’t play in as harsh weather conditions. This is designed to feel like a mid layer while still offering rain protection.
FootJoy Cold Weather Protection
The FootJoy Thermoseries and Hydroseries are complemented by a series of cold weather garments.
An all-over lightweight thermal jacket. Not only will this keep you warm it is windproof and water resistant. The back features innovative vertical stretch panels to keep your swing free and loose.
The stretch space dye jersey fabric gives you great freedom of movement. This is fleece lined for thermal retention with microfleece lining in the front pocket.
The hybrid jacket offers a contrast of soft thermal sleeves and side panels with a lightweight insulated woven body fabric. This is a slightly thicker mid layer for playing on those colder days.
The latest autumn winter offerings in FootJoy ever expanding women’s apparel range.
A thick outerwear offering to keep you warm this winter. It is made from soft stretch jersey knit fabric to retain heat and provide freedom of movement. The two contrasting colours offer a really bold striking look.
Gilets are perfect for golfers who want to keep warm but want to keep maximum mobility in their arms.
I love the versatility of this vest, the reversibility aspect means you get two different looks from one jacket.
This provides a really unique look for winter in different colour ways. This is this mid layer that is perfect for keeping warm and also pairs well with other pieces in this range for layering.
