Dustin Johnson has switched up his TaylorMade gear for the new year
Dustin Johnson is one of a number of TaylorMade staffers who has put a rescue in play for 2020. We take a look inside the American’s bag.
What’s in DJ’s bag?
At the top end of his bag Dustin has swapped all his woods to the new TaylorMade SIM Max model.
“I’m playing the Max. I’ve got the Max driver and 3-wood, and I’m actually going to play a rescue club which I never thought that would happen,” Johnson told the PGA Tour.
“I’ve been hitting it the last few days. I hit it quite nicely. I don’t know, we’ll give it a run for a little while, see how it works.”
He then carries a full set of the TaylorMade P730 DJ Proto irons from 4-iron down to pitching wedge. Johnson carries three wedges all in the TaylorMade Milled Grind 2 model with raw faces.
As always Johnson has been mixing it up on the greens and has already played with numerous models in 2020, he is currently using a black TaylorMade Spider putter.
