Will these clubs help Danny Willett get back to his best in 2018? The 2016 Masters champion tells us what's in his bag

What gear does the Callaway staffer have in his bag heading into the 2018 season? We caught up with the 2016 Masters champion ahead of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship to see which new models he was putting into play.

Willett has plumped for the Callaway Rogue driver which he says has given him a bit of extra spin so has been able to knock the loft down to 9˚.

He had previously used the GBB Epic driver.

He says he will switch between the Callaway Rogue 3 and 5 wood depending on the tournament and conditions.

Similarly with the Callaway X Forged UT 3 and 4 iron – he may decide to put the 3 iron instead of the 5 wood or vice versa.

With the rest of the irons he uses the 2018 Callaway X Forged which have been customised with a green finish on the logo.

We can’t think of any reason why he might favour the colour green?

And then he uses one Callaway Mack Daddy Forged wedge and a couple of Mack Daddy 4 wedges with some fairly particular grinding and polishing on the sole.

His putter is an Odyssey O-Works #1 wide which would normally come with a new microhinge insert – designed to get the ball rolling end over end quicker.

But Willett actually has a much older, firmer milled face insert added to the new head.

He plays the Callaway Chrome Soft ball and wears FootJoy ProSL shoes.
