The total Charles Schwab Challenge prize money increased for 2020.

The $7,500,000 purse includes the standard 18 per cent cut for the winner. This is $200,000 up from 2019, with the winner’s share just shy of $40,000 more than what Kevin Na took home for his victory at Colonial.
The tournament is one of six tournaments to have invitational status awarded by the PGA Tour and therefore has a reduced field of around 125 players. The other four tournaments to have invitational status are the Masters, Genesis Open (from 2020), Arnold Palmer Invitational, RBC Heritage and the Memorial Tournament.
