WITB: Brandon Stone – Scottish Open
Brandon Stone WITB. There was no 59 but it was a welcome victory for the Ping staffer and his G400 Max driver.
The South African also had a few of the brand new Ping i210 irons in the bag which we have been testing out over the past couple of weeks.
Without a win since December 2016 it’s no real surprise to see him putting a few new clubs in the bag.
The G400 Max driver (as used by yours truly) has been a surprise edition to a number bags this year including Ping staffer Tony Finau.
You wouldn’t normally expect tour players going for all out forgiveness but the Max has been very popular for all levels of golfer since it was launched earlier this year.
Stone also uses the G400 3 wood before one of Ping’s Rapture driving irons.
Then it’s the brand new i210 irons (which aren’t officially launched yet) for his 3, 4 and 5-iron.
He chooses the sleeker iBlades from 6-PW once again highlighting how tour players like to mix it up with their iron models.
His putter is a Vault 2.0 Anser Dale in the black ‘stealth’ colour option, and his ball of choice is the Titleist Pro V1x.
And a very special mention to his customised FootJoy Pro SL shoes in his native colours.
