Since EA Sports pulled out of the golf video game business after a long and successful stint of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy-backed franchise, it’s been left to 2K Games and their excellent yet unlicensed Golf Club series.
But that is all about to change after the company announced the upcoming PGA Tour 2K21 game…
2K also revealed their new cover star…

JT will be joined by 11 other PGA Tour pros, each of whom will present a challenge to players in career mode as they compete to become the FedEx Cup champion. Players can also create and personalise players with equipment and apparel from licensed brands including Adidas, Polo Ralph Lauren, TaylorMade, Callaway, Bridgestone, and more.
The game will be released on August 21, 2020 and available on PlayStation 4, the Xbox One family of devices, including the Xbox One X and Windows PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch.
This is the most excited I've been for a game since GTAV.
The gameplay in @2K's Golf Club series is far superior to the EA Sports games – as good as they were – but a license goes a long way in the gaming community (see FIFA vs Pro Evo).@PGATOUR2K could be the best ever. https://t.co/f0zPDN0t90
