Hole more six-foot putts with this quick drill
One thing I would really like to do is hole more six footers – wouldn’t we all? – so I’ve called in European Tour player Paul Waring to give me some short putting tips.
I visited Paul at his home club Bromborough on the Wirral where he took me through a drill that will help get the ball in the hole from that niggly little range that so many of us fret over.
Short putting tips: Key point
One of the things Paul suggested was closing your left eye at address – right eye if you are a left-hander – as this takes the hole out of your peripheral vision and allows you to put your focus on the stroke.
