At address, the Max-D looks exactly how you’d expect a draw biased driver to. It is noticeably compact and slightly closed compared to the other OPTM models to give it that anti-slice look.
The head shape gives the impression that the ball wants to turn left, which may be reassuring for slicers but intimidating for better players.
The crown features a clean, dark finish with alignment lines on the face that help frame the ball nicely at address. While not the most neutral-looking driver in the range, the visuals clearly match its purpose and will appeal to players who want help eliminating a miss to the right .

You’ll be pleased to know, the Max-D does exactly what it promises. Shots start further left and curve more left than any other driver in the OPTM lineup.
For golfers who find themselves fighting a slice too often, this will be extremely effective. From my experiences, I found it often turned weak fades into playable straight shots or gentle draws.
Launch is high, spin is also higher than the other models, and carry distances are slightly shorter. However, the trade-off is excellent directional consistency. Fairways are hard to miss with this driver, even on off-centre strikes, making it ideal for players who value accuracy and confidence over maximum distance.

For stronger players or those who already draw the ball, the Max-D will likely be too aggressive, producing excessive left misses. But for its intended audience, it performs exactly as designed.
