Best Spikeless Golf Shoes 2025
G/FORE MG4+ O2 Golf Shoe
The G/FORE MG4+ O2 Spikeless shoe has maintained the high performance features of its spiked sibling. It is a great looking and performing shoe while still being extremely comfortable.
In use they were superb. The combination of comfort focussed design and the support around the heel made these shoes perform like their spiked counterpart. It has really impressed me that a shoe that feels like you could easily wear it all day and has the robustness to be a proper golf shoe. I have a pair of spikeless shoes that are comfortable but I would not really feel they would do the job on a full round on the uneven terrain of a golf course. Not so the G/FORE. These, for me, are the perfect all-round spikeless shoe. I would happily wear them all summer. The spikeless soles still provided excellent traction in damp conditions. I am not sure that I would wear them in the winter after constant wet weather, but this would be true of any spikeless shoe, in my opinion.
Most importantly they perform fantastically. They are extremely comfortable and provide quality grip despite being spikeless. They also offer some protection from the elements with waterproof upper material. This may be the most fashionable golf shoe on the market currently.
This golf shoe from Adidas suits a wide range of golfers who are looking for both style and comfort. They are on the edge of suiting any off-course setting too. You wouldn’t look out of place wearing these shoes in a social setting.
The spikeless design adds to the comfort and style of these shoes. I found them to be sturdy, durable and a great fit for my feet when I was out on the golf course. As well as the feeling, the design predictably got me in the mood for the Masters and the rest of the golf season with its split of white and green.
Pros:
Colourway of Cloud White-Collegiate Green-Gum was brilliant
The grip and stability are suitable on various terrains, making them ideal on and off course everyday wear.
While they might not be a go to pair for muddy wet winters, they excel in warm weather. The casual design may not suit traditionalists, but for those wanting a relaxed, sporty look, these shoes provide comfort, style, and practicality.
Pros:
Very comfortable
Versatile – can easily be worn on and off the golf course
Great summer option – no issues with grip and support
Cons:
Not an all the year round golf shoe
Looks not for everyone

Pros:
Such a snug fit all around the foot – no slippage within the shoe
I have never lost my footing in these shoes
High-quality build will last and last
Options of bold colours or neutral tones
Cons:
Took more wearing in than previous Ecco models in my experience
Colour: Black, Concrete, and White/Air in the standard lace option, and White/Retro Blue, White/Frosty Gravel, and Magnet/Forest Green in the BOA Performance Fit system.
I’ve always found golf shoes are generally chosen by brand over comfort and traction. A great golf shoe should give you stability but leave a spring in your step walking up the 18thfairway. The Sketchers GO Golf Temp GF didn’t disappoint in this area.
From the moment I put the shoes on they were unbelievably comfortable and I had no issues regarding tightness or rubbing. I am a size 10 with slightly wider feet and these were a true fit that moulded to my feet instantly.
As I walked up the final hole it was like I had been wearing my favourite trainers for the walk. The Skechers have a great feel about them and are some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn.
The GO Golf Tempo GF is a great shoe. I would say it is a hybrid between a traditional golf shoe style and the more modern, trainer styles that are around. If all you care about is comfort and performance then you can’t go wrong with these. They are at an attractive price point and don’t look out of place in the spike bar post round.
Pros:
Comfort straight out of the box
Lightweight with stable grip
Great range of colours available
Cons:
Conservative looks

I have owned my fair share of Adidas trainers in the past and these are not too dissimilar. You can be forgiven for thinking these are a regular pair of shoes at first glance. But, that is what I love about the Adidas Retrocross 25 spikes golf shoes. They can be worn anytime, anyplace including on the golf course.
The Adidas Tour360 25 spikeless shoe is the latest in the line of wonderful and comfortable golf shoes from the German manufacturer.
Made from a leather upper to make them water resistant, but with a spikeless sole, these shoes can be used through pretty much all conditions.
Unlike other shoes in the Adidas range, such as the Retrocross 25, this is not a shoe that you would wear away from the course, as it just doesn’t have that trainer-look to it.
However, if you’re looking for a new golf shoe for the summer, then you can never go wrong with anything from the Adidas selection.
A lot of golfers will be pleased that Adidas have put fresh life into the Adizero range. These definitely lived up to their famed reputation. They offered supreme comfort in a stylish yet understated design.
I experienced no problem with the traction. The spikeless sole worked well to keep me upright on the wet turf. Additionally, the waterproofing was without fault.
Something to note is that I found the golf shoes to be a little narrow. It may be worth your while to size up a half size as a precaution.
Pros:
Look great out the box and on the feet
Extremely lightweight
Waterproofing works well
Cons:
They were a touch tight so possibly worth thinking about sizing up

Now, I usually enjoy waxing lyrical about how Puma golf shoes suit non-golf settings, social settings where you can walk around town and go for a drink while wearing them. If I’m being honest, which I am, then I don’t think the Puma Avant golf shoes suit social settings.
By all means, if you are going to watch other sports and the conditions are wet, cold and muddy – go for it. They are reliable and again, the colour compliments the season. So in that regard, I can’t really fault the Puma Avant golf shoes because they do suit other sporting contexts.
If you do wear them away from the golf course for long periods, they aren’t going to give your feet any grief. A key reason for this is not having any spikes. Without spikes, there is less chance of your feet suffering from wear and tear, so this is a huge plus.
Pros:
Smart design that suits the season
Sturdy and solid feel that helps performance
Soft, spikeless feel helps with overall comfort levels
Cons:
Some might not like the plain design

The Puma Helsinki Golf Shoe offers a stylish, trainer-inspired look that appeals to those seeking versatility and modernity. Designed mainly for summer, they feature lightweight, breathable materials, and a comfortable fit – even for my wider feet.
It isn’t every day you come across a pair of golf shoes that you could wear on and off the golf course, but you have come across one here for sure. This isn’t to say that I would wear them out and about over a pair of trainers, but they definitely have the look and design to masquerade as a pair of trainers in social settings, and you wouldn’t bat an eyelid.
You could wear these to watch a sports event, and you could wear them in other social settings.
Pros:
Trainer/athletic look is very appealing
Comfortable with no stress on the golf course
Can be worn in off-course settings
Cons:
Some golfers might prefer a more traditional look

If you’re looking for a new ball in 2025 that gives you more bang for your buck without skimping on the tech or tour-level performance, the TaylorMade Tour Response is absolutely worth a test. Equipped with tour-level feel this golf ball is a joy to use around the greens.
Additionally, the performance continues to impress throughout the bag with plenty of distance available off the tee.The TaylorMade Tour Response golf ball is a perfect fit for players who want premium performance without the premium price.

Cons:
None

Better known for producing quality cricket shoes Payntr have now entered the golf market. It is not often a new golf shoe comes along and you think, yep, I might just consider shifting allegiance and move away from the more established brands. Having tested these shoes I do think they could be a disruptor in the market. Along with Jason Day, I would happily be a Payntr brand champion!
Simply – they are the best golf shoes I have ever tested.
They are unbelievably comfortable, attractively designed and leaves you with the feeling a lot of thought has gone into producing a shoe to break into the golf market.
If you are looking for a new shoe for the Spring/Summer I would seriously consider the PAYNTR brand. What’s more if you get lucky with your size and colour preference there are some great deals to be had – read on to find out more
Pros:
Unbelievably comfortable
Attractive sporty style
Colourway of grey and green I loved
Cons:
Might be hard to clean and so not a 12 month a year shoe
As a fan of Payntr golf shoes, I can confidently say they’ve become my go-to choice. The seamless blend of performance and aesthetics has won me over.
If you are only looking at having one pair of golf shoes to wear whatever the weather then the X-003 Fs are an excellent choice. I even tested them out during outdoor Padel sessions, and despite me hardly moving like Usain Bolt, they handled slippery autumn and winter conditions with ease.
Pros:
Unbelievably comfortable
Attractive sporty style
Easy to clean
Waterproof
Cons:
Not a fan of the white heel – would have preferred them to be all black

With these being a sporty, modern design, they are more for the golf course than they are also suitable for the pub away from your local golf club. I think they look brilliant with shorts or a smart pair of golf trousers and are for a player who seeks maximum performance. They clean up well after the round, so with a bit of care, they will last for many seasons.
The Payntr X 005 F spikeless golf shoes are a brilliant option for golfers looking for a new pair of spikeless golf shoes for the rest of the summer. The performance is brilliant, and for the price you cant get another pair of shoes that have the same amount of technology in them. Once you slip on your first pair of Payntr shoes it will be hard for you to ever go anywhere else.
Pros:
Super comfortable
great traction and stability
Love the snug, supportive fit of the heel fit
Cons:
The modern sporty look might not be for everyone

Under Armour Drive Medal Waterproof Spikeless Golf Shoe
One of the standout features of these shoes is their waterproofing — but interestingly, that wasn’t obvious at first glance. When I initially tried them on, I had no idea they were waterproof, which really speaks to how well Under Armour has blended function with style. They look sleek and modern, without the bulky or rubbery appearance you might expect from waterproof gear.
Overall, the Under Armour Drive Medal golf shoes have really impressed me. They combine sleek, modern styling with practical features like waterproofing and excellent grip, all without sacrificing comfort. After a month of frequent use, they’ve proven to be durable and reliable, with performance that holds up across a variety of course conditions.
If you’re after a stylish pair of golf shoes that don’t just look the part but truly deliver on functionality, these are a great choice — especially for summer golf. Comfortable, supportive, good value and built to last, they’ve more than earned their spot in my golfing wardrobe.
Pros:
Durable
Easy to clean
Comfy Fit
Cons:
None

I set off in these shoes on a very dewy, Autumnal morning where any non waterproof golf shoes would have been unbearable. It took a few holes and a few swings for the uppers to soften but once they were soft to the shape of my foot they were brilliant.
The new HOVR midsole utilises softer, energy returning foam on the medial side of the foot and paired that with firmer, more supportive materials on the lateral side of the foot to support it through the movement of the swing.
When hitting shots there was no doubt that you had a very solid platform to swing from, no matter what kind of wet and muddy side slope you found yourself on.
The whole design of this shoe is about achieving biomechanical correct footwork through the golf swing and it was on the back 9 the shoes really came into their own. I felt secure and locked into the shoe whilst the dial foam cushioning kept me comfortable, I felt like that I could have easily walked another 18 holes in these shoes no problem
Pros:
Great foot support
Look great with/without waterproof trousers
Waterproof
Cons:
Needed wearing in

TravisMathew Daily Pro Hybrid Plus Weather Resistant Golf Shoe
Trying them on for the first time they are as comfortable as they look. I found them to be close to trainers in comfort.
On to the practice ground they provided sufficient support such that I did not feel like they were giving way when I was hitting balls. So, while they were not as rigid as some golf shoes, lack of support did not seem an issue.
The soles are actually really grippy. Much more so than I expected from first glance. It was fairly dry when I tested them so have not really put them to the test under slippier conditions.
Pros:
Great comfort for extended wear
Waterproof upper
Contemporary styling
Cons:
Premium price

The 19th hole section of this review is arguably the easiest of any review I have produced. The New Balance 480 SL Golf Shoes are perfect on the course (obviously) and off it. You would not look out of place at all wearing these shoes out and about.
Whether you are out enjoying a drink or attending a sports event, you will feel comfortable and secure in these golf shoes. I would be shocked if anyone recognised them as golf shoes, which should be to New Balance’s credit, as they have mixed athleticism with a faint hint of tradition.
Pros:
Comfy and lightweight feel
Colourway is great
Trainer-feel increases comfort and confidence
Cons:
Some golfers might prefer more traditional looks

Let there be no doubt. These will be my go-to golf shoes for 2025. They look great, particularly the red, white and blue model I tested, and they feel great too.
This is the big thing for me. If you’re going to be walking six miles during round and you’re going to do that dozens of times a year, comfort has to be king. You can’t have anything on your feet that’s going to bring any discomfort.
These New Balance 574s prioritise that. It’s dead easy to say, ‘these are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn’, and internet sleuths will no doubt find various other reviews where I’ve said the same in the past.
But the standard is getting better with every single year. You don’t have to stand for a rigid style and a model that makes your feet sweat like a swimming pool. You can have performance and you can have incredible comfort at the same time. You can have both with these 574s.
Pros:
Sneaker fans will adore them
Stretch suits even my duck feet
Very sturdy and stable despite the look
Cons:
Traditionalists might turn their nose up

The sole is a ‘TR functional cup sole’ and although it is not the thickest (don’t try and knock sand off your clubs with your feet), it provides good comfort and stability. The 5mm square-shaped nubs on the sole of the shoe give you traction throughout the summer months, whether you’re in the fairway or the thick rough.
Duca Del Cosma say on their website that the purpose of the Giordano shoe is ‘for on and off the course’, and they are not wrong. As you can see from the picture above, I have worn these shoes quite a lot on the course, leading to a loss of whiteness and some discolouration in the leather, but that proves how good they are, right?
Not only are the Giordano shoes comfortable on the course, but you could very easily wear them on a night out, or a shopping trip, and no-one would know you were wearing a pair of golf shoes.
Overall, I very much like the Duca Del Cosma Giordano golf shoe, and it will certainly remain my summer golf shoe until I completely wear them out. They really are just that good!
Pros:
Comfortable
Stylish
Don’t need wearing in at all
Can be worn off course
Cons:
Not a wet-weather shoe

Duca Del Cosma Pagani Shoe
I only ever tend to go for a trainer look when selecting golf shoes. So, these Paganis were ideal for me. Straight away I was impressed with the casual look and stylish colour scheme. It’s the first time I have worn Duca Del Cosma golf shoes and I have to say I was extremely impressed with them.
I wore them all week The Open Championship 2024. I spent a considerable amount of my time working the links course of Royal Troon, rarely giving the shoes a break. At no point did I feel uncomfortable in the shoes. There was no rubbing on my feet, discomfort with the sole of the shoe or any tightness with the fitting. The shoes stacked up all week with no issue to report. If you have ever been to Royal Troon you’ll know it isn’t an easy or a short walk, but the Pagani shoes seemed to cope brilliantly.
When swinging the golf club, I thought the stability was also great. Duca attribute this to there spike technology, combined with the USP, allows for a balance of stability and grip during the downswing.
Pros:
Comfortable
Looks great
Waterproof
Can wear both on and off course
Cons:
No cons

I rarely come across a pair of shoes I can use for all these activities, but the Duca Del Cosma Positano golf shoes might just be the ones. The first big win for these shoes is how waterproof they are; my first test was out at Sand Moor in Leeds, and whilst the course is pretty dry at the moment, it is damp in spots, and my feet remained dry throughout the whole round. Amazingly my back foot didn’t slip, which generally happens in spikeless shoes. This is a huge nod to the Positano golf shoes and their large spikeless nubs on the sole.
These are probably more designed to be spring-summer golf shoes, so I won’t wear them out on a wet British course again. I did take them to Majorca on a 3-day press trip and wore them nonstop on the golf course. The ultra-lightweight EVA outsole makes them very comfortable and easy to wear for long periods of time.
Something I love about these shoes is how hard-wearing they feel. I do a lot of miles in golf shoes and have had a few pairs that only last six months or so, but you can tell that these Positano shoes are different. They are built to last and easy to care for.
Pros:
Extremely comfy
Look very smart
Big, thick spikeless nubs
Very waterproof
Cons:
I don’t have enough pairs!
RELATED: Read our review of the Duca Del Cosma Positano Golf Shoe here.
Straight out of the box the Nike Air Pegasus ’89 golf shoes were extremely comfortable. A uper soft and smooth midsole helps to promote this as it is constructed of two supportive foams in the forefoot and heel. Additionally there is a hidden Zoom Air unit in the heel to help supply that extra bit of comfort.
Overall, I think these are a great casual, modern looking golf shoe. If you are looking for something that is comfortable to play in but still delivers top level performance then you need look no further.
The look won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. To have something that you can slip on for a quick round or nine holes in the summer after work and wear in the clubhouse after can be quite the convenience though.
Pros:
No issues with grip
Extremely comfortable
Versatile
Feel quite lightweight on the feet
Cons:
The trainer-like look may not be for everyone’s liking

COLOUR: Wolf Grey/Anthracite/White/Gum Medium Brown / Black/Wolf Grey/White/Gum Medium Brown / White/Pure Platinum/Gum Medium Brown / White/Racer Blue/Orange Peel/Black
My first reaction to putting on the shoes is that they feel very comfortable and stable; they are designed based on a runner shoe concept and having a quick jog around the office confirmed this. Whilst I did have some back foot slip issues on the damp, worn driving range mats of the local range I frequent, out on the golf course I never had a traction or stability issue from the custom JL TPU outsole tred.
These shoes are a nice neutral colour and would work excellently for a walk in the woods, as they are very comfortable, easy to put on and certainly won’t be getting your feet wet in winter. This golf shoe is definitely one of the best options if you’re looking for a versatile pair to take on and off the course.
These shoes do look similar to a typical pair of trainers, and if you like the look of them, you could definitely get away with wearing them out and about, however, I don’t know if they could ever truly crossover into my everyday wardrobe. I believe the combination of a simple style with excellent waterproofing and comfort makes them a great choice for a pair of all-weather golf shoes, especially if you are looking for a more designer pair.
Pros:
Great design
Warm
Comfortable
Very waterproof
Cons:
Pricey
Mud can be tough to wash out

What is important when buying Golf shoes?
When buying new golf footwear its important to know what attributes or features you value the most before deciding on a brand or model to buy. For example, do you want spiked or spikeless shoes?
A lot of golfers think comfort is paramount when choosing a shoe, we are going to be standing in them for 3-5 hours right? Some golf shoes on the market have special insoles and cushioned mid-soles designed to keep your feet feeling fresh.
Grip is vital to good performance on the golf course as any foot slip in dry or wet conditions can not only cause the golf club to swing improperly but may also lead to an injury.
Nearly all golf shoes will either be fully waterproof or offer some kind of water resistance, and this is important as real die-hard golfers play in every weather condition. Having wet feet for 4 hours is not and will never be fun.
How good the shoe looks is of course subjective to personal style, but is important to any player. Do you prefer an athletic-looking shoe, or are you more traditional? Does your shoe offer on-course off-course style or do you want shoes purely for the course? Does the style of shoe you like have the best color options for your golfing wardrobe?
Price is the last factor to consider. With the models above we have tried to find shoes at all different price points so if you want a shoe at a lower cost, you can get one. Or if you want to spend more, you can do that too. Importantly there is something for everyone.
What brands produce the best golf shoes?
All of the products in this best spikeless golf shoes 2025 article are picked from the brands that offer what we believe to be the best spikeless shoes on the market.
Do any pros wear spikeless golf shoes on tour?
As you will see on TV when watching the PGA, LPGA & DP World Tour, professionals wear both spiked and spikeless golf shoes, depending on their preference.
Some tour players are looking for extra stability and grip for maximum power creation that a spiked shoe might offer, and others are looking for the comfort and style that spikeless golf shoes offer. Some tour players prefer a running shoe style, and others a traditional classic leather shoe; there really isn’t a hard or fast rule as to what tour players wear.
