Motocaddy are back with a bang for 2021 – and there are some serious technology upgrades including cellular capabilities in the new M5 GPS, M5 GPS DHC and M-Tech models. (More on those in a moment.)
Each of these models will come with a built-in SIM card – like you would find in your mobile phone – to take the GPS to the next level with real-time course mapping, updates, and performance tracking data.
If you choose to purchase an annual subscription package you will now be able to access full hole mapping, see greenside hazards as well as the green outline, and see a summary and statistics on your round. Everyone will be offered a free try-before-you-subscribe period.
If you’re reading this and you bought the M5 GPS last year, then stop shaking that fist. The cellular technology was backdated and is available in all current models as well as the new releases.
So let’s take a look at the 2021 range from Motocaddy, starting with their most premium offering…
Motocaddy trolleys 2021: M-Tech
This is Motocaddy’s top of the range, premium model thanks to its striking design and numerous luxury finishes.
I reviewed the previous iteration – and you can watch that here – but for 2021 it has been upgraded to include Motocaddy’s cellular and GPS technology, while a new high-resolution 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen display is added to hand-stitched leather handle grips, polished chrome detailing, and carbon-fibre styling.Â
It also features automatic downhill control, as well as other neat touches like shot measurement, score tracker, and round timer.Â

Motocaddy trolleys 2021: M7 Remote
This is Motocaddy’s remote control model (what gave it away?) which boasts an impressive 50-metre range.
It is also adaptable and can be converted to manual mode if you are in a situation where you would rather control the trolley by hand.
It comes with automatic downhill control as standard and also features a handy lock feature to prevent you from accidentally setting your trolley off down the fairway. We’ve all been there haven’t we?

For this season it has new all-terrain rear wheels, an anti-glare screen, and a new on-screen monitor to show you how much charge is left in the remote. This can be easily charged via the inbuilt USB port if you run out of charge mid-round.

Motocaddy trolleys 2021: M5 GPS
The Motocaddy M5 GPS was extremely successful last year so it is no surprise to see it will stay in the line-up for 2021.
It offers a large touchscreen GPS function with yardages to front, middle and back of the greens as well as hazard distances. My favourite feature – aside from the cellular capabilities? You can move the pin around on the green to see the exact yardages to each day’s pin position. The greens shown on screen are also customised to show the shape of each green out on the course. What a great touch that is.
Another key feature of this range is the integration with the Motocaddy GPS app so you can receive notifications from your phone on the trolley screen. This ranges from call alerts to text message previews and even Facebook and WhatsApp alerts. It is worth pointing out for those that are like me and prefer to ignore their phone while playing that these can be turned off.

Motocaddy trolleys 2021: M3 GPS
This is a brand new addition to the Motocaddy line-up for 2021 and comes in to replace the previous M3 Pro model.
The GPS technology provides distances to front, middle and back of the greens as well as hazard distances.
It has a simple folding system with wheels that invert to save space in your car and features the easilock bag to trolley connection system.
As we see across the range this is available in a standard model and also has a DHC offering which has the ability to maintain a constant speed while moving downhill and also features an electronic parking break.

Motocaddy trolleys 2021: M1
This is designed to be an entry-level product into this range. It is the simplest and easiest to use but still boasts numerous key technologies from Motocaddy like the quick easy fold system, colour-coded battery meter and adjustable distance control.
It is also available in the brand’s popular DHC offering for those who need better control on uneven or hilly terrain.

Motocaddy trolleys 2021: Golf bags
Now if you’re treating yourself to a new trolley you may as well get a bag to match, right?
Motocaddy’s bags aren’t just about aesthetics. They are designed to fit perfectly onto their trolley and use the easilock system to connect the bag directly into the trolley so you never have to worry about it falling off again.
Motocaddy’s bag range is vast featuring seven different models in 19 different colourways.
