Puma GS-X Efekt Women’s Golf Shoe Review: First Impressions
I have seen these Puma shoes around before and have always wondered what they would be like to try…and here we are.
Out of the box, I cannot fault the look of these shoes. Some might perhaps say they look a little chunky but I was simply too distracted by the bold pink and white design to care about that.
A member at my golf club questioned me as to whether these were golf shoes and the answer was easy, show them the bottom of the shoe! The word “golf” is vertically printed on the bottom of each shoe just to outline that these are in fact golf shoes.

I love that these shoes have laces and not just small, thin laces, but nice chunky laces that will actually stay in place for your round.
Safe to say I couldn’t wait to get them out on the course.
NCG Verdict
On your feet, these aren’t the lightest golf shoes that I’ve ever put on my feet but I wasn’t too fussed about that. I liked how well my feet slipped into the shoes, fitting perfectly. I’m a UK 7.5 as we’re the shoes, making them the perfect match.

Taking them out on the course I really enjoyed walking up and down the hills in what was probably the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve tried so far this year. They weren’t full of foam, yet they weren’t really firm, there was just the right amount of cushion to support the sole of your foot. Puma states that this is PROFOAM EVA Midsole which I very much enjoyed.

These spikeless golf shoes provide a nice amount of grip when walking around the course and during shots. The sole is covered in firm, rubber nibs to help provide traction. Larger ones are located in key areas such as toes and heel, with slightly smaller ones running along the mid section of the base. And the added “golf” wording looks pretty cool on your follow through!

The fact that the Puma GS-X shoes have a wider base than where your foot sits means that during your swing there is a lot of stability. This continues when you walk around the course, especially on a hillier course like the one I play at.
Overall, I really enjoyed wearing these Puma golf shoes and they have been out on the course many times over the last month and will continue to be throughout the rest of the season.
