- Excellent value
CONS
- None
First Impressions
With the bewildering array of golf kit available these days, of which golf bags are no exception, manufacturers are often looking for a point of difference for their new products. On first appearance the TaylorMade Storm-Dry cart bag is not one of these. I do not say this in a negative way. On the contrary, my initial impression was of a good looking fully featured cart bag that will tick all the boxes in an unfussy way. It is available in a few different colours. All are attractive with the logos and contrasting elements adding interest without being too obtrusive.
First and foremost it is waterproof. There is not really a downside to having a waterproof cart bag so I would always go for this option if the budget allows. It has a nice roomy top with 14 golf club dividers one of which is double size. The putter well is huge. There are 11 pockets including 3 on each side with one being a soft-lined valuables pocket. There are the fairly standard 3 pockets on the front with a further 2 pouches on the side for quick access/drinks etc. One of these is insulated. In short, there is plenty of well-thought out storage. As expected there is a towel ring and short umbrella sleeve.

NCG Verdict
In use it performed excellently. It is very light for a bag of this size. With a couple of grab handles at the top, another on the bottom pocket as well as a handle and strap on the underside, it all makes for ease of lugging this about. The base has recesses to fit all manner of carts and trolleys. I found this to be exceptionally stable on my electric trolley. The top sat really nicely and there was absolutely no twisting.

One aspect which I found helpful is that the pockets do not gape open when unzipped. There is less risk of stuff falling out should one inadvertently leave a pocket open.

TaylorMade Storm-Dry Waterproof Cart Bag Review: Final Thoughts
The TaylorMade Storm-Dry Waterproof cart bag has not re-invented the wheel. What they have is produced a high quality waterproof cart bag that has every feature you could need at a very reasonable price. If you are thinking of getting a cart bag then give this model some serious attention. I was extremely impressed and cannot recommend it highly enough.
