First Impressions

As someone that has worn several pairs of Adidas shoes throughout his golfing career (career might be a push!), I was excited to see what the Tour360 25 spikeless edition would look like. As expected, they look the real deal, especially in the Cloud White / Core Black / Lucid Red colourway.

Right from the off, you know this is an Adidas product (and not just from the box). The iconic three stripes are apparent on both the outside and instep of the shoe, with each of the stripes hosting one of the laceholes. The black and red colouring on the white shoe is beautiful, to the point where you don’t really want to take them out on the course and make them dirty.

On Course Testing

It says on the Adidas website that these shoes are ‘True to Size’. They’re not wrong! The shoes I tested were the same size (10) as I would normally wear with a pair of trainers. They fit beautifully, and if anything, they look even better when on your feet.

The premium leather upper and outer layer does make them a water-resistant shoe, and therefore good for the typical British downpours. Obviously, as a spikeless shoe, they will never give you the stability that a pair of spiked shoes would on wet ground. However, the 3D Traxion outsole does give you the confidence that you can swing freely without the worry of slipping in almost all conditions.

The Tour360 25 also features the return of Adidas BOOST, providing the perfect midsole for added comfort. Throw in the sublime textile lining and you really do have a very comfortable golf shoe inside. The laces and tongue allow for the right level of tightness, keeping your feet in place, whether it is a wet or warm day.

The 19th hole

Unlike other shoes in the Adidas range, such as the Retrocross 25, this is not a shoe that you would wear away from the course, as it just doesn’t have that trainer-look to it.

However, if you’re looking for a new golf shoe for the summer, then you can never go wrong with anything from the Adidas selection.

If you’re looking for a spikeless golf shoe that provides everything you need on the golf course, then the Tour360 25 is the shoe you’re looking for!

Mention a European country, and Matt will tell you which resorts make the National Club Golfer Top 100s: European Resorts list. He might even throw in who designed the golf course and how many rooms the hotel has got at each one…

Matt got into the game of golf from a young age, following his old man to the local golf club. He fell for the sport, and now can’t seem to go a day without thinking about how to improve his game (Thanks Dad!). Matt has been a member of Howley Hall GC in Leeds since 2020, and is just about managing to maintain a single-figure handicap. He likes to remind people that he once broke 75, but won’t tell people that it was on a shortened course during the winter.

He moved to Leeds after graduating from the University of Central Lancashire with a First Class Honours degree in Sports Journalism. Matt joined NCG after almost five years travelling the world with the Professional Squash Association, working on events in all four corners of the globe.

Matt currently plays a Cobra King LTDx driver and RadSpeed 3-wood. TaylorMade monopolise the rest of his bag, with a SIM UDI, M5 irons and both Milled Grind and HI-TOE wedges, along with a Monza Redline putter. He uses a Vice Pro Plus golf ball, because he’s a bit different…

Away from golf, Matt is a Manchester United fan, and a keen runner, having ran the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon (his first and possibly last), in May 2023.
