This year’s BMW PGA Championship was always going to be a tense affair due to the number of LIV Golf players and LIV Golf critics teeing up at Wentworth.
And just 24 hours after Billy Horschel’s epic rant in which he said the defectors “should not be here”, I spotted the defending champion on the putting green deep in conversation with Ian Poulter.
And while they were too far away to make out what was being said – and my lip reading skills just aren’t what they used to be – it certainly didn’t look like a friendly catch-up.
But I’m not here to pass judgment. I’ll let you make your own minds up…
I asked Poulter for a comment afterwards, but he (politely) declined.
