Launch monitors were once the preserve of professionals and fancy fitting studios. Now, they are one of the most popular bits of golf equipment to help practice with and there is a new one from Shot Scope that could be a game-changer.
Golfers use launch monitors to track their progress and numbers across their game. They measure club speed, dial in carry distances, track smash factor and can make practice sessions feel more purposeful.
The trouble is they tend to be expensive. The new Shot Scope LM1 is designed to do all those things but at a more reasonable cost.
Here’s everything you need to know about this compact, portable device that won’t break the bank…

Shot Scope LM1: The Features
There has been a real emphasis from Shot Scope to design this launch monitor to focus on performance metrics that a golfer can use to truly improve.
The big one is club and ball speed. The quicker we swing the club, the further the ball will go.It can record this using a K Band 24 GHz Doppler radar sensor. Club speed can be measured between 10.0 and 99.9 m/s, while ball speed ranges from 15.0 to 99.9 m/s.
