Golf club shafts can be tricky for club golfers to get their heads around. It’s difficult to understand which shafts we should all have in play, but Fujikura are making it an increasingly easier choice to choose one from their Ventus range due to their incredible performance on tour.
But which version of this tour-winning shaft should you be putting in play? We put the range to the test, with insight from Fujikura’s own experts and our very own PGA Professional Jack Backhouse, to find out.
Mid Launch and Spin
If your swing speed is moderate or you naturally struggle to launch the ball high enough, the Ventus Red is likely your best bet. With a softer tip section, it’s designed to help present more loft at impact and keep the ball in the air with a playable peak height.
During Backhouse’s testing of the range, he found the Red provided plenty of stability without feeling ‘whippy’, which some lightweight shafts can sometimes be guilty of. It is also obvious that the Ventus Red offers the most help in adding a bit of kick and speed into each strike off the tee. This helps to get the ball up into the air a lot easier.
