What’s New In The World Of Equipment?

What’s new in the world of equipment? Hannah Holden has the details…

Brands are constantly releasing new golf equipment, from hardware to shoes, clothes and accessories. In this article, we will keep you updated with all the latest gear, from TaylorMade Qi10 drivers to new Titleist golf balls or Puma golf shoes.

Adidas Tour360 24

Tour360 has been Adidas’ flagship model for as long as I can remember. I love the styling and have always found these to be Adidas’ most stable shoes.

Three key areas have been improved for 2024: fit, performance, and durability.

There is nothing worse than a shoe that doesn’t fit properly. To offer golfers a better fit, Adidas has updated the insole shaping and included an internal fit sleeve to give 360 support throughout the swing.

In terms of performance, there is an updated spiked outsole with high gloss flex grooves to reduce clogging. The help features Jet Boost, a series of small energy capsules that add cushioning and stability.

Shoes need to withstand a wide variety of weather and forces. The shoe has a new three-piece construction on the heel to help reduce wear and tear over time. The upper is now a waterproof premium leather.

The new range will also feature BOA options for both men and women for improved fit and performance.

TP Black Collection

TaylorMade has announced an expansion to their TP putter line with the brand new TP Black Collection.

The new lineup has a very stealthy black finish, which looks great behind the golf ball. The head designs have flowing lines and natural curves for an inspired look at address.

They feature the same Surlyn insert that we saw in the Spider X putters with 45° downward angle grooves for optimized roll characteristics.

The range features ten models with a variety of neck bends and lengths available.

SkyCaddie’s PRO 5X Tour Book GPS

SkyCaddie has some of the best, most accurate distance-measuring devices on the market and the new Pro 5X looks set to be its best yet.

The device features new TruePoint Precision Positioning Technology – which provides “laser” accuracy for pinpoint yardages.

It also has a new ultra-fast multi-core processor, which delivers lightning-fast real-time course data and course search times faster than any previous SkyCaddie.

The super-responsive 5.5” LCD Colour Touch Screen on the PRO 5X is SkyCaddie’s largest and most vivid display, with full-colour HD graphics of every hole.

The device comes pre-loaded with 35,000 golf courses, which can be constantly updated thanks to wifi connectivity.

TAG Heuer x Malbon Collaboration

Malbon is popping up all over the golf space currently, and a new watch collaboration may cover up all talk of those Jason Day trousers.

I love the striking design of this and the bold colour contrast, and as you might expect, this is more than just a tell-the-time watch.

This wrist-worn caddie tracks shots automatically, offering distance information for the next shot and club recommendations, allowing the player to focus entirely on enjoying the game.

Whether for running, walking, golfing, or monitoring one’s wellness, this watch has all aspects covered. A range of sensors provides comprehensive well-being metrics. The watch also includes various sports and utility apps, such as a stopwatch, timer, and alarm. The perfect watch at any time.

There are two unique watch faces to celebrate the collaboration. The main watch face features the co-branded logo and Malbon’s character, wearing a cap with the TAG Heuer shield on it, and an animated design that changes colors as the seconds tick by, available for the entire E4 generation. The second watch face, exclusive to this special-edition piece, draws inspiration from the Heuer 02 design.

The Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E4 44mm x Malbon Golf Edition is available now and will retail at £2050.

New Golf Equipment For 2024

There are loads of great new products from some of the biggest brands in the game for 2024 perhaps the most notable being the new driver line-up, including three 10k drivers.

Drivers

Callaway Drivers 2024

Paradym was extremely successful for Callaway in 2023, so this year they have kept the name but added a new twist. The new Paradym Ai Smoke range features four models, the Triple Diamond, Max, Max D and Max Fast.

Artificial intelligence is one of Callaway’s superpowers when designing new equipment. It has brought us technologies such as Jailbreak, Flash Cup Face, and Ai-Optimised Club Faces. For 2024, Callaway has combined this with in-person player testing to drive the design of their latest drivers.

This year the all-new Ai Smart Face is the big Ai story. It uses swing dynamics data from thousands of real golfers to make the supercomputer Ai technology even more accurate. Swing speed, club delivery and face orientation just before impact have been fed into the computer to give it more information on how golfers present the golf club at impact and how the driver needs to perform to boost the performance of real golfers.

TaylorMade Drivers 2024

The most forgiving family of drivers ever? TaylorMade claims to have unlocked a new frontier of forgiveness in their Qi10 lineup, so what’s new?

And what about the name? Qi stands for the Quest for Inertia, or to put it in a more understandable way, the quest to produce the best balance of speed and forgiveness. The Max model even toppled the 10,000 MOI mark for the first time in driver history.

Cobra Drivers 2024

For 2024, Cobra is introducing three drivers as part of their new Darkspeed Metalwoods range. The Darkspeed family uses advanced aerodynamic shaping, meaning that every driver’s head has a different weight configuration designed to suit individual players’ requirements.

The Darkspeed range is Cobra’s first product to use AI technology. The Ai-designed H.O.T Face Technology has been used to create a face that has both optimised smash factor and ball speed data. From this, the reformed Pwrshell face insert is now 13% larger than the one found in the previous generation Aerojet drivers.

Not only has the face been upgraded, but so has the overall structure of the driver’s head. A multi-material chassis features a lightweight carbon crown, which is 30% thinner than the Aerojet driver. This lighter top is combined with sole plates and a reinforced titanium frame, which creates a more stable club head.

PXG Drivers 2024

PXG have been trending in the driver category over the last few years, growing in popularity with club golfers and on tour. This year is set to be their biggest yet with the launch of the brand-new Black Ops range.

The range is already in the bag of Major Champion Celine Boutier and has helped Eric Cole lock up PGA Tour Rookie of the Year.
