In a quiet and tranquil setting on the Woburn Estate. Woburn Golf Club is centrally located just over one hour from London, Oxford, Cambridge and Birmingham and offers the opportunity to play a choice of three tournament hosting courses, The Duke’s, Duchess or Marquess.

The Duke’s course, designed by Charles Lawrie, was the first to be constructed in 1976.  Having tested many famous names in golf it is still the course most people associate with when they think of Woburn.

The Duchess’ course, also designed by Charles Lawrie and opened in 1978, is a hidden gem, which puts a massive premium on straight hitting.

The Marquess course opened in 2000, designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark, European Golf Design (Ross McMurray) and Alex Hay.  It provides an enjoyable and testing challenge for golfers of all levels, with each hole possessing its own distinctive character.

Woburn has an impressive tournament history, having hosted almost sixty Professional Tournaments and has a role of honour that reads like a who’s who of world golf.  In 2019 The Women’s British Open will be returning to Woburn, when it will again be played on the Marquess course, which was venue for the 2016 Women’s British Open.
