Meanwhile, the LIV Golf League goes east for a double-header. The first stop is at The Grange Golf Club for LIV Golf Adelaide.

Patrick Cantlay & Xander Schauffele @ 5/1 with bet365

Winners of this event in 2022, Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele will be looking to add to their PGA Tour cabinets. The pair have also had plenty of success at both the Ryder Cup and the Presidents Cup, and you wouldn’t bet against them winning at TPC Louisiana this week. The pair are the favourites to win this week at 5/1.

Keith Mitchell & Joel Dahmen @ 40/1 with bet365

Mitchell Dahmen golf betting tips

The pairing of Keith Mitchell and Joel Dahmen is one that will have a lot of followers this week at TPC Louisiana. They might not be among the favourites, but if they can put it all together, then the pair have a real chance of winning. Mitchell and Dahmen are 40/1 for victory at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Sergio Garcia @ 22/1 with bet365

The Spaniard has come close to winning twice already this season, finishing runner-up in the first event of the season in Mayakoba, before also coming home in 2nd in Miami last time out. After featuring at the Masters, Sergio Garcia will be aiming to finally get that LIV Golf victory under his belt. The Spaniard is 22/1 this week in Adelaide.

What else is going on in the world of golf this week?

There is plenty of other action going on this week, with the Ladies European Tour, LPGA Tour, DP World Tour and Champions Tour events all happening!

Following the first women’s major of the year, both the LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour have events this week. The LET is in South Africa for the second week in succession, while the LPGA Tour moves west to California for the JM Eagle LA Championship.

The DP World Tour holds its final event of the Asian Swing this week. The ISPS Handa Championship will take place on Japanese soil, while the Mitsubishi Electric Classic is the Champions Tour’s offering.

Who will take victory at these tournaments? Check out our picks for success below…

Carlota Ciganda @ 28/1 to win the JM Eagle LA Championship with bet365

Spain’s Carlota Ciganda was not at her best coming into the first women’s major of the year, but a top-ten finish at the Chevron Championship will give her confidence. With World No 1 Nelly Korda withdrawing from the field after her incredible five-win run, the door is open for someone else to take the title. At 28/1, Ciganda is a great bet to do just that!

Matthieu Pavon @ 14/1 to win ISPS Handa Championship with bet365

After being one of the top ranked players on the DP World Tour in 2023, Matthieu Pavon has already shown himself to be a winner on the PGA Tour this year, and he sits inside the top ten of the FedEx Cup Standings. Returning to the DP World Tour this week, the Frenchman is the second favourite for glory at the ISPS Handa Championship.

Lee-Anne Pace @ 16/1 to win the Investec SA Women’s Open with bet365

As a five-time winner of the Investec SA Women’s Open (most recently in 2022), Lee-Anne Pace has to be right up there for my picks this week! She is among the favourites, and it’s easy to see why!

Vijay Singh @ 33/1 to win the Mitsubishi Electric Classic with bet365

Yes, I know I picked Vijay to win the Invited Celebrity Classic. He missed out, but he did come home in a tie for 6th. Add that on to his wonderful performance at Augusta National, and the Fijian’s form is in top shape. He is 33/1 for victory in Georgia this week, and well worth a shot.

Matt Coles

Mention a European country, and Matt will tell you which resorts make the National Club Golfer Top 100s: European Resorts list. He might even throw in who designed the golf course and how many rooms the hotel has got at each one…

Matt got into the game of golf from a young age, following his old man to the local golf club. He fell for the sport, and now can’t seem to go a day without thinking about how to improve his game (Thanks Dad!). Matt has been a member of Howley Hall GC in Leeds since 2020, and is just about managing to maintain a single-figure handicap. He likes to remind people that he once broke 75, but won’t tell people that it was on a shortened course during the winter.

He moved to Leeds after graduating from the University of Central Lancashire with a First Class Honours degree in Sports Journalism. Matt joined NCG after almost five years travelling the world with the Professional Squash Association, working on events in all four corners of the globe.

Matt currently plays a Cobra King LTDx driver and RadSpeed 3-wood. TaylorMade monopolise the rest of his bag, with a SIM UDI, M5 irons and both Milled Grind and HI-TOE wedges, along with a Monza Redline putter. He uses a Vice Pro Plus golf ball, because he’s a bit different…

Away from golf, Matt is a Manchester United fan, and a keen runner, having ran the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon (his first and possibly last), in May 2023.
