Just days after the finish in Dubai, the 2024 DP World Tour season kicks off this week. The Fortinet Australian PGA Championship features some of the best in the world.

It might not say it on the Official World Golf Rankings, but everyone in golf knows that Cameron Smith is one of the best players in the world.
The 2022 Open Champion finished in 2nd on the season-long LIV Golf standings, having won both the London and Bedminster events.
He also finished as runner-up at the Hong Kong Open on the Asian Tour a couple of weeks back. Unsurprisingly, Smith is the favourite to win this competition for a fourth time, with odds of ODDS.

Min Woo Lee: Eight top-15 finishes in his last 11 events, including a win at the SJM Macao Open – Min Woo Lee is in great form. 8/1 say that the Australian takes another win this week, and this time on home soil.

There is not one, but two DP World Tour events this week, with the Joburg Open also kicking off the 2024 schedule as part of the ‘Opening Swing’.
As well as that, the Ladies European Tour season comes to a conclusion at the Andalucia Costa Del Sol Open de Espana.

Branden Grace @ 16/1 to win the Joburg Open with bet365
Grace will feature on the DP World Tour for the second time in three weeks, after featuring at the Nedbank Golf Challenge.
Grace is a former winner of the Joburg Open, having won this tournament back in 2012.
He also finished inside the top ten on the season-long LIV Golf standings this season, so he is in good form. At 16/1, he is the second favourite for victory on home soil.
Anne van Dam @ 14/1 to win the Andalucia Costa Del Sol Open de Espana with bet365
The Dutchwoman is a two-time winner of the Andalucia Costa Del Sol Open de Espana, having won the competition in both 2018 and 2019.
Van Dam has three top-11 finishes in her last four tournaments, including a T2 finish at the KPMG Women’s Irish Open and a 3rd place result at the Aramco Team Series – Hong Kong.
Back in a country that she has tasted victory on multiple occasions, Van Dam is 14/1 to take home the title this week.

Why are there two events on the DP World Tour this week?
The Joburg Open is co-sanctioned between the DP World Tour and the Sunshine Tour, while the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship is co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour of Australasia.
These co-sanctioned tournaments allow players from the PGA Tour of Australasia and the Sunshine Tour to ply their trade on the DP World Tour over the first few weeks of the new season.

The 2024 DP World Tour season has a different look to compared to previous years. Instead, there will be several ‘Swings’.
The ‘Opening Swing’ will run up to Christmas and will comprise of six tournaments across Africa and Australasia.
