Need a fresh pair of golf trousers for your wardrobe? You’ve come to the right place
Golf trousers are an essential for any golfer. Unlike shorts, these handy pieces of golf clothing can be worn in any weather – literally!
Like golf shorts, trousers nowadays are made with some stretch in the fabric for maximum comfort and ease of movement. Not only that, but they look great paired up with a trendy polo shirt or waterproof jacket too.
Thankfully, leading brands from the world of golf clothing produce plenty of fine trousers that have all the technology you need in them to perform the best you can during your round.
Here are the best golf trousers for women for this season…
These are a very smart pair of capri golf trousers. The quality of them feels great, being made up from a combination of 92% polyester 8% spandex. There is a great amount of freedom to bent down and move around in these.
I wore a uk10 in these, as that is my standard size. Around the waist they were perfect, complete with a double button fly fastening for added support. I’m 5ft 8 and in my opinion I don’t find this length of trouser to be the most flattering however that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t work on someone else. I liked that these trousers offer a set of well sized belt loops as well as four pockets. The two back pockets can be secured by bottoms if needed too.
Overall, if capris are your thing these are a smart option that are easy to move in and won’t make you too warm on the fairways this season.
Aesthetically, the FJ stretch trousers are great looking pair of golf trousers. Complete with belt loops, two pockets are the front and two at the back, they fit the basic black golf trousers requirements down to a tee.

I usually wear a uk10 in bottoms but these were a uk12 and the fit was pretty spot on. I am also 5ft8 and wore the regular length which look respectable on me, however, FJ does offer a longer leg option for taller women. I do find these trousers tend to have a lot of material around the crotch area making them a little baggy onto the thighs.
As per the name, the stretch pants and nice and stretchy. The dominant polyester make up meant that they aren’t overall thick which is ideal for spring/summer golf. These trousers also have moisture wicking technology to help direct moisture away from the body.
Overall, these are a very smart pair of golf trousers that will get plenty of wear from me this season.
Golf leggings are a new thing to me. I’m a regular leggings wearer in day to day life and so combining this with golf seems like something I could get on board with!
Firstly, I love the design of these. The dark navy colourway with a double white strip looks very smart considering that they’re leggings. Puma has added pockets on either side of the legs, which is very practical. These pockets don’t look overly big but my iPhone 13 plus fits easily inside thanks to the stretch that the leggings provide.
I wore these leggings in a medium and found they fit very nice on the legs and length wise they were around my ankle, a bonus for someone who is 5ft8. I’m typically a UK10 in bottoms, these leggings were a little loose on my waist when walking around the course but generally fitted quite nicely.

In terms of wearing these out on the course, they were lovely and stretching making them very easy to play in. They’re also quite thick but fairly breathable so would work well in any season.
Overall, if you haven’t yet tried golf leggings, these Puma leggings are a great place to start!
The Gingham lightweight cropped trousers from FJ are a real love or hate it aesthetic. The checkered design mixed with purple and mint colours is very bold.
These come with an elasticated waist band meaning that they slide on and off easily. They come with two front pockets and two further pockets at the back. I wore these in a uk12, which was just a little too big for me as a uk10 in bottoms usually. I am also 5ft8 and these sit at a 7/8th length on me however on my short more average sized friends they are full length/touching the ankle. They are intended to be cropped however this might not be the case for all.
My only real criticism about these trousers is that they’re quite sheer. I can see the lining of the pockets through them but thankfully nothing else.
Overall, if you’re after a statement pair of trousers for this golf season, these are a must.
The Puma everyday trousers aren’t my standard style of golf trousers but that doesn’t mean to say I haven’t loved wearing them. The true deep navy colourway is very nice and two front pockets and one back pocket are very welcomed.

These trousers don’t have any belt loops and fasten at the side with a small zip. This provides a seamless looking waistband which I think looks very smart. I wore these trousers in a medium which as a uk10 fit pretty nicely but at times I did find myself pulling them up. I’m not sure how a small would fit in comparison but perhaps would be better around the waist when playing.
I’m 5ft8 and these trousers were ankle length for me but on more average height females these sit at a more cropped length.
Out on the course I can’t knock the comfort of these trousers. They’re not overly thick but equally have a very nice “smart trousers” feel.
Overall, I really enjoyed wearing these trousers and know that they will be a wardrobe staple this season.
