Srixon Soft Feel Lady golf ball review: NCG Summary

NCG SUMMARY
The Srixon Soft Feel Lady – controversial to the name – would be a great ball for any golfer whose looking for something a little softer off of the face to help generate greater ball speed.
PROS
- Low compression
- Reasonably priced
- Soft Feel
CONS
- Not the best for fast swinging players
First Impressions
The Srixon Soft Feel Lady hasn’t altered very much looks-wise over the years. The bold bright pink packaging screams female golfer from a mile away.
Inside, the ball supports the same look as the standard Srixon Soft Feel. The only visual difference is the colour change from green to pink in the wording. Srixon offers this ball in a standard white as well as a bright pink option.

NCG Review
Starting with the driver, I really enjoyed how spongey this ball felt off the face of the club. The ball speed was up a little on average from the Srixon Soft Feel that I also tested. I also got one shot over 140mph which is something that doesn’t often happen. The spin was also very good for a driver with this ball and it produced a very nice sound and flight.
I was happy with the carry distance, gaining on average 4 yards further than the standard Soft Feel. The Lady’s ball actually has a slightly lower compression at 56 as opposed to Soft Feel at 60.

Moving onto my 7 iron, looking at the numbers the spin seemed to be quite inconsistent considering that most other things were fairly consistent. The launch, however was very consistent, as was the ball speed and carry which is very important on those approach shots into greens.

Pitching wise, the condition for testing wasn’t great with the ground being very soft and wet. There was certainly a lot more spin created over 50 yards with the Soft Feel Lady than the standard soft feel.
Although my launch angle isn’t perfect, that and the ball speed was very consistent. The spin rates however did vary quite a bit, but again the conditions weren’t great which may have been a slight contributing factor.

In terms of around the green, the Soft Feel Lady was very spongey off of the face and landed very soft. Out of a bunker filled with wet sand, there was plenty of spin generated which was nice. When it came to putting I found it hard to get to the ball to the hole.
Overall, this is a great golf ball and is pitched at a great price and would be ideal for any mid-high handicapper women or men who are looking for a little extra ball speed.
