Ripit Grips as per their website is for players “who don’t mind stepping onto the green with Sunday game passion and a Saturday night vibe”. Their wide range of unique designs and colourful grips mean they are a great choice for anyone looking to spice up their clubs.
The standard grips have a firm feel with plenty of texture to help with grip whereas the putter grips are sleek and spongey with a tacky feel.

First Impressions
How cool do these look! I have seen plenty of colourful grips before, but Rip It Grips has definitely taken it one step further. The standard grips are offered in a range of different colours and designs which means there is plenty of ways in which you can personalise your clubs. There is a real mixture of designs and some designs will certainly turn more heads than others. The Geo grips shown above are Ripit’s most basic design choice but still offers a great range of colours and pattern.
The “Stay Weird” putter grip looks so good. It is the only putter grip the company offers and it features so many fun patterns, symbols and colours. Ripit offers this is a square face and circular shape.
I also can’t forget to mention that every grip comes individually boxed in sleek cardboard packaging that matches the grip that is inside.
NCG Review
Having had these put on my clubs I feel like I’ve got a brand-new set. Aesthetically these grips tick all the boxes and out on the course they certainly didn’t disappoint. I tested out the Geo grips which as per the name they have geometric patterns imprinted in the rubber. This made the grips very textured and easy to hold onto. Not all the grips have the same patterns but each of the imprints provides the same textured feel. To hold these grips are pretty firm as you would expect from most standard grips.
The “Stay Weird” grip is the only putter grip Ripit offers. Unlike the normal grips, this has a very smooth feel, almost feeling a little tacky and spongey.

If you’re questioning whether the pattern or colour may be too bold and off-putting, I thought the same thing. After taking them to the range for the first time I didn’t even notice anything different over the ball and perhaps you need to pay more attention to the ball if you do…?
For those fair-weather golfers the grip’s performance when wet might not matter but for those willing to battle all conditions, I had to see how these faired when wet. Soaking one of my iron grips it definitely wasn’t as grippy as when dry, yet I didn’t completely lose control. I would say most grips struggle with an ordinary grip and so this was very similar to my previous grips. One great thing to note was how fast the grip dried after only being wiped down with a towel.
I think these are a great collection of grips and it would be great to see them offered in different sizes so they would accommodate more players. The Ripit Grips are all at a similar price point as most other grips on the market yet offer a great personalised touch to your clubs without compromising on quality.
