Like the name suggests this is a soft golf ball that has plenty of distance to offer. Priced reasonably, this is a great option for a range of club golfers.
It is around the greens where this Srixon golf ball really comes up trumps. There is plenty of spin and control on offer from what is an exceptional two-piece constructed golf ball.

For me, the standout characteristic of the Soft Feel is, unsurprisingly, just how soft it feels. It certainly does what it says on the tin. With both a putter and wedge in hand, the sensation is plush and muted, offering feedback reminiscent of a much higher-end ball.
I found that there was even a distinct sound at impact that further emphasises its soft nature. It’s like striking a marshmallow.
The short game is where this ball truly shines. From 50 yards, spin rates reached an eyebrow-raising 6,800 rpm. I thought this was exceptional for a two-piece construction. This level of control is rare at this price point and enables players to have confidence around the greens, especially trying to stop the ball quickly.
Things become a little more nuanced with the seven iron. My spin dropped to just 4,600 rpm, which I found to be just too low for my game. While this may concern golfers who rely on spin to hold greens, the trade-off is clear; better distance.
With a high launch and low spin, carry my carry distance averaged a substantial 168 yards, despite the more moderate ball speeds. It’s a reminder, however, that spin isn’t everything, especially if you’re chasing extra yardage.
The theme continues off the tee. Ball speed clocked in at 158 mph, but with a low spin rate of just under 2,000 rpm. Overall, this meant total distance remained impressive. With a carry of 274 yards and rollout reaching over 300 yards, the Soft Feel proves highly efficient through the air. Its new 338-speed dimple pattern contributed here, helping it fly straighter and further despite its soft feel.

Srixon’s FastLayer Core, which starts soft in the centre and firms up toward the edges, mimics multi-layer performance in a simple two-piece design. Combine that with an aerodynamic dimple pattern and you’ve got a ball that’s forgiving, long, and stable in flight.
The Srixon Soft Feel is a standout choice for mid to high handicap golfers who want more distance, better feel, and short-game spin. The bonus, you get all this without breaking the bank.
