Still considered to be a fairly new face in the world of golf club manufacturers, PXG has made quite the impact in the small amount of time they have been around.

Now the brand has released a whole new iron range. The GEN8 family is primarily made up of three different models, so that all golfers can take advantage of their new technology.
In fact, these are the most adjustable and technologically advanced irons PXG has produced to date. The brand has engineered them to deliver faster ball speeds, higher amounts of forgiveness and a more precise fitting than any of their previous irons.
So, from tour-level control to maximum distance and forgiveness, here is everything you need to know about the PXG GEN8 irons…
PXG GEN8 Irons: The Technology
At the center of every GEN8 iron is PXG’s new proprietary internal polymer, called QuantumCOR. This material was developed in collaboration with polymer material specialists to produce the fastest possible energy transfer at impact. GEN8 irons reach the absolute maximum COR allowed under USGA regulations.
QuantumCOR delivers increased ball speed without requiring tradeoffs in launch or spin. It also produces the softest feel PXG has achieved to date, giving the irons a solid, muted impact sensation despite their high ball speeds.

GEN8 irons also introduce Deep Core Recoil Technology, which increases the distance between the club face and the back of the internal cavity.
This additional space allows the face to flex deeper into the polymer during impact, creating a stronger rebound effect.
But, one of the most significant upgrades in GEN8 irons is the Dual Perimeter Weighting System. PXG has relocated approximately 11 grams of mass from the centre of the club head to the perimeter to increase the amount of forgiveness available to golfers.
Each GEN8 iron incorporates internal high-density tungsten weighting positioned toward the toe of the clubhead. This tungsten counteracts the mass of the hosel and helps center the club’s center of gravity behind the face.

GEN8 irons use an ultra-thin maraging steel face that works in conjunction with the internal polymer and forged body to optimize launch conditions, ball speed, and consistency.

The 0311 XP and 0311 P irons feature a slightly thinner face than the T irons, which offers more spin.
