The golfing landscape has changed considerably over recent times. Golf trolleys are no different, and with the improvement in their performance more golfers have turned to using them. Luckily for them, two decades after the first Motocaddy S1 electric trolley hit the markets in the UK, the brand has released the latest version of its most popular trolley – the Motocaddy S1 and S1 DHC golf trolleys.
It can be tough these days to spot a golfer out on the course that doesn’t use a trolley to help them get round. Many of whom may have a Motocaddy one, more specifically a Motocaddy S1.
The product is now into its 10th generation and remains Motocaddy’s all-time best-selling golf trolley globally having sold over 350,000 units. In addition to the standard S1, Motocaddy have introduced the S1 DHC which comes fitted with a DHC wheels.

The latest iteration of the Motocaddy S1 trolley has been reimagined with an ultra-modern design. This design sees the addition of a refined chassis and updated aesthetics which resembles that of contemporary styling.
Motocaddy have made the styling to align seamlessly with the brand’s acclaimed M-Series compact-folding models which were released last year. The in-house engineering team at Motocaddy have produced a sleek automotive-inspired design by utilising Virtual Reality and rapid prototyping alongside A.I. technologies.
In terms of on-course functionality for golfers to take advantage each round, there have been newly styled ergonomic handle grips for effortless user-ability. Low-profile aerodynamic wheels with high-performance tyre tread are also evident for this reason.
The cornerstone of the design and development of the new Motocaddy S1 trolley is making an electric trolley that is simpler and way easier to use. An effortless set up is one of the key factors in accomplishing this. An intuitive 1-step folding mechanism attempts to achieve that while providing sufficient storage.

Motocaddy’s CLICK ‘N’ CONNECT cable-free battery system is again used in these trolleys. It helps to eradicate the danger of golfers finding a flat battery in their trolley on a Saturday morning before their round. This is aided by the battery switching off automatically when folded.
Gadget wise the S1 has a LCD widescreen display with nine speed settings, a speed indicator, and a battery meter for enhanced control and visibility. Conveniently for a hands off approach, the Adjustable Distance Control function allows golfers to pre-set distances of up to 45 yards.
Other useful every day feature features include a USB charging port for powering devices on the go, a lightweight Lithium battery for enhanced portability, and space-saving inverting wheels to optimise storage efficiency.
The S1 DHC trolley is equipped with all of the features in the standard model as well as some extras. These extras include an automatic Downhill Control, plus all-terrain DHC wheels and an electronic parking brake. All of which results in a greater total control around the course.
You’ve heard the horror stories of golfer’s trolleys rolling into the water hazards. Motocaddy’s Downhill Control (DHC) technology helps to stop this. A constant speed whilst moving down hill is enabled to stop the trolley from speeding off in front of you.
