History was made in 2025 as Fujikura’s VENTUS driver shafts powered every Major winner – a clean sweep never before seen in the modern game.
Golf’s biggest prizes demand power, precision, and control under the most intense pressure. In 2025, all four men’s Major champions had one thing in common, they had Fujikura’s VENTUS shafts in their drivers. This is the first time such an achievement has been reached by a specialist driver shaft brand.
From Augusta to Portrush, via Oakmont and Quail Hollow, the best players on the planet turned to Fujikura to help them conquer the world’s toughest tests. So, much so that over the last five years they have become the most used driver shaft on the PGA Tour.
The Open Championship at Royal Portrush this year, required plenty of strategy and shot-shaping. The Champion Golfer of the Year, Scottie Scheffler, was able to control the ball beautifully off the tee with a VENTUS Black 7-X shaft.
Scheffler also utilised the same driver shaft at Quail Hollow earlier in the year when he claimed the PGA Championship, again playing with great control from the tee. Both times the American seemed to run away with the lead as he continued his immense dominance over the world of golf. In fact, off the tee has been a highlight of the American’s game this season with Scheffler leading the way with strokes gained off the tee for the 2025 season. He averages 0.765 strokes gained from the tee box with Rico Hoey averaging the next best at 0.685.
In addition to Fujikura driver shafts, the number one golfer in the world also utilised the brand in his woods on his way to victory at Portrush and Quail Hollow. He used a VENTUS Black 8-X shaft in his 7-wood and a VENTUS Black 9-X in his 7-wood.
At Augusta, it was the VENTUS Black 6-X that helped the season’s first Major, Rory McIlory winner navigate Georgia’s famous corridors. The Northern Irishman of course held firm through a play-off to claim his much craved maiden green jacket to complete his career grand slam. It was there that Fujikura’s historic year at the majors began.

And at Oakmont, where wet weather and ferocious rough made for one of the sternest setups in recent memory, it was once again a VENTUS Black 6-X that delivered. JJ Spaun sealed his first major win with back-to-back birdies at the 71st and 72nd holes, including a driveable 17th hole reached with precision and nerve.
Each player had different challenges. Different styles. Different courses. As well as different swing styles. But each trusted VENTUS. It goes to show that there is a Ventus shaft that is suitable for all different types of club golfers, so you too can maximise your game.
The results speak for themselves. Across the four Majors, 44.9% of players used Fujikura in their driver, compared to 24.8% for the nearest competitor. Over 40% chose Fujikura for their fairway woods too.
Fujikura’s dominance didn’t stop with the official Majors. The brand also featured in the winner’s bag at Ponte Vedra, the venue of the unofficial ‘Fifth Major’. Both McIlroy and Spaun contested The Players’, trusting the VENTUS Black in all their woods through a Monday play-off finish.
To cap the season off, Tommy Fleetwood of course claimed his first victory in America at the Tour Championship. The Englishman’s much celebrated maiden win in the States was achieved using the Ventus Blue shaft.
