For golfers seeking both style and function this golf shoe might just be the option they are looking for.
It may have a relaxed look but does it perform? Check out my full G/FORE Men’s G.112 golf shoe review below…
The ever stylish G/FORE have released a new shoe, the G.112. I have had experience of several pairs of G/FORE golf shoes and so far I have had nothing but very positive things to say about the brand. They are distinctive enough that the brand is recognisable from looking at the style of the shoe.
The G.112 at first glance, is in the category of the relaxed, sneaker-like style. On closer inspection, however, it is apparent that it has a substantial sole and indeed G/FORE explain it has an updated anti-slip grip outsole.
The tech includes heel-to-toe turf traction with a comfortable EVA midsole and mesh lining for breathability. G/FORE say it is the go to shoe for all day play and, to me, this is exactly the niche for this type of shoe. They are made from water-repellant P.U. leather with a seamless synthetic upper construction.

Putting these on, they immediately felt comfortable and highly supportive. This is where I think golf shoes have really come on. I have had several pairs of very comfortable golf shoes in the past but the performance, in particular the support, was non-existent.
Just like with the MG4+ O2, it is clear that thought has gone into designing a shoe that has support and comfort without compromising on either.

On Course Testing
On, they are very comfortable. G/FORE say the low drop design enhances ground control and certainly my impression was of this feel.
You do feel a little lower to the ground than with some more bulky designs. As a consequence the cushioning, which is very good with their massaging insoles, does feel a little firmer than some other shoes.
Overall the comfort was excellent and this shoe to me seems ideal to wear on the course, on the practice ground and in the clubhouse without having to change out of them. Great for a long day on and around the course in the summer.
In use the support was very good. My foot felt it was deep into the shoe with plenty of support and traction throughout the swing. Some of the more casual designs can be a little wanting in this regard but not so the G.112. The grip was also excellent and I was testing them on wet grass. When spending a good amount of money on a shoe it has to perform and the G/FORE G.112 succeeds in this respect.
NCG Verdict
My final thoughts are that this is a well made and excellent performing shoe. A versatile shoe for the better weather and it looks terrific.
