Recently, I have had the pleasure of reviewing Mileseey rangefinders, and it truly has been a surprise. The quality of these rangefinders has been beyond impressive, and the Mileseey IONME2 golf rangefinder is absolutely no exception.
Let’s get stuck into why I think this device is great, how it impressed me straight out of the box and how blown away I was by the clarity of the lens as I used it on the golf course.

First Impressions
You can only have one first impression when you open the box containing the Mileseey IONME2 golf rangefinder: It is small. And you would be forgiven for thinking this, because it is small, very small. This can only work in its favour, though, as it can not only slot into your bag with ease, but also into any of your pockets.
It is about half the height of most other rangefinders on the market. It barely weighs anything in your hands; it is almost too light, like a feather. Joking aside, I loved this feature of the rangefinder, as it essentially redefines how big one of these devices actually needs to be.
Also, the Mileseey IONME2 golf rangefinder comes in a little dock, a mount, if you will. The device fits snuggly into the mount, and this can clip on to your bag. I used the clip, and as much as it was secure, I’d say keep the rangefinder in your pocket, or the pocket of your golf bag.
That is only my advice, though, and isn’t to the detriment of the mount. The clip is an innovative feature that is practical and allows you to attach the device to your bag.
On-course testing
Before we get into the nuts, bolts and details of how to use the Mileseey IONME2 golf rangefinder, the clarity of the lens is the best I have seen on any rangefinder. Using the Mileseey IONME2 golf rangefinder was like being in an IMAX cinema, or a virtual reality ride. It was just so clear, which sounds like the bare minimum, but in my mind, this device sets the standard in this department.

When the lens is this clear, you are reassured and left in no doubt as to where the flag is and what target you are aiming at. In terms of the most important features of the device, the flag-locking mode and vibration that came with it were good. Vibration is a mainstay of rangefinders nowadays, and golfers must find reassurance with their yardages.
That was the easy part, and locking to the flag worked well, and this was complemented by how clear the lens was. I really enjoyed the PinPoint Green mode too, but if I am honest, I am more inclined to use a rangefinder with shots to the green rather than on the green itself.
PinPoint Green mode allows you to measure the distance on the green with very precise accuracy, a matter of inches even. You can tell you are in this mode when you press the button with the white circle on it until a green ring appears around the red flag as you see it in the lens.
You can tell if a putt is 20 feet or 30 feet. I didn’t use this mode as much, as I feel more comfortable using my eyes to judge a putt, as opposed to a scope. But this doesn’t make it a bad feature; it only adds to the variety of usage that this product offers.
Coach mode is an innovation I certainly haven’t come across with a rangefinder, and again, it isn’t something I would naturally do during a round of golf. Coach mode is found by looking down the lens and pressing the white circle until the angle and line appear in the bottom left-hand corner.

This mode allows a buddy of yours to measure the distance from your ball to the flag from a different point on the hole, when you can’t see the flag from where your ball is. A little bit like PinPoint Green mode, I can’t see a golfer using this mode very often.
As much as I love the Mileseey IONME2 golf rangefinder, I think this device, and other devices in general, can run the risk of doing too much and being too helpful, if that makes sense.
There is no doubting the innovation, though. It is mightily impressive, and you might read this from the perspective of a stick-in-the-mud who just wants to get from Point A to Point B.
NCG Final Verdict
I don’t think I need to describe my love for Mileseey more than I already have. They are serious operators, and the devices they produce have no end of features that will serve your game.
The Mileseey IONME2 golf rangefinder is part of their impressive portfolio, and I would like to begin this summary by reiterating the quality of the lens. It really is good.
The flag-locking vibration is exceptional. This is a must for rangefinders now, and Mileseey nail it. And I have absolutely no issue with the PinPoint Green mode at all – it will provide you with super-accurate measurements, as it did for me. It is just a case of whether you think that feature is useful – and the same can probably be said of the Coach mode.
All in all, very good.
