Are the Callaway Rogue ST fairway woods their fastest ever? We’ll put that to the test later – for now here is everything you need to know…
Callaway Rogue ST fairway woods: First impressions
I really love the simple shape and styling of these fairway woods combined with the eye-catching colours. It reminds me of the Mavrik 3-wood which I have in play and find really confidence-inspiring over the ball. As we saw in the driver range these also come with the new matte black crown.

Callaway Rogue ST Fairway Woods: The line-up

Callaway Rogue ST Max
The Max model will suit the widest range of golfs who want speed, forgiveness, and all round performance. It offers a slight draw bias and mid-launch flight. It is available from 3-wood to 11-wood.

Callaway Rogue ST Max D
This is Callaway’s first dedicated draw fairway wood. It is the highest launching in the range and features a slightly closed club face, upright lie angle, and extra heel weighting.

Callaway Rogue ST Max LS
A better player’s offering with a deeper face and compact footprint. It has a forward screw weight to help push the CG forward for low spin. This is the most fade capable model in the line-up.

Callaway Rogue ST Fairway Woods: The technology
If we take a look inside the club head you can see the new Jailbreak system in gold which has been completely redesigned. There are two separate Jailbreak batwings which have been pushed out to the perimeter. These make the body of the club stiffer while allowing the face to flex and increasing ball speeds.

Launch and spin has been optimised thanks to the tungsten speed cartridge. In the Max model there is 27 grams of high-density tungsten in the sole. This has moved the centre of gravity lower and forward reducing spin and also adding ball speed.

Each fairway model and each loft has its own custom AI designed face to optimise speed, launch and spin for that’s club performance requirements.

The club face is made from a C300 managing steel which is specially treated for high strength and flexibility. Integrated into this is the flash face cup which provides spin and speed consistency across the face.
