Finally, a golf shoe that feels as good as it looks. Check out our Adidas Adipower 26 spikeless golf shoe review
I’m a huge fan of Adidas golf-wear in general. Whether it’s their windbreakers, hoodies, golf trousers or golf shoes, I have only had good experiences.
So, I had high hopes for these Adipower golf shoes. You’ll be forgiven if you are already familiar with the name, as this is one of Adidas’ standout ranges when it comes to golf.
But has the return of this staple Adidas line-up been a successful one? Or does it fall short of previous highs?

NCG SUMMARY
First thing I’d say is that this is a release that I think is going to land in the sweetspot for a lot of club golfers. At a time when a lot of premium golf shoes offerings are costing well in excess of £150, this is a welcomed alternative.
Visually, it offers the best of both worlds. It gives of a slight retro look whilst also maintaining that trainer-like feel that doesn’t mean your dragging around a clunky set of boots on your feet.
I have plenty of confidence that this is going to serve well this summer, no matter the conditions – hopefully they won’t be too extreme.
PROS
Trainer-like comfort
A retro look that still has that sporty element to it
I’m a big fan of casual and sporty looking golf clothing and it’s the same when it comes to golf shoes. I can appreciate the more formal looking golf shoes of old, but they aren’t my cup of tea in truth.
That won’t make me very popular with the golf purists out there I know, but I just think this modern approach golf has taken is just better. We are playing a sport after all, so to me it only makes sense that I wear something that feels and looks ‘sporty’.
Adidas has nailed that styling here. It leans more towards a modern athletic sneaker than a traditional golf shoe, which certainly is not a bad thing.
With that, the casual, wearable look makes it just as comfortable off the course as it is on it. Saying all this, I do think it still retains a classic edge that will appeal to more traditional golfers.
I think it strikes a clever balance of a modern approach without being overly loud, sporty without losing that typical golf identity. It looks how an Adidas golf shoe should and I’m a fan.
NCG Verdict
In terms of performance, I have to say these are some of the most comfortable I have tested. It delivers a sponge-like cushioning and sensation on each step in a way that I haven’t really felt before.

Adidas credit their Repetitor cushioning technology with helping to ensure this experience. I found it helped to create a responsiveness that maintained the cushioned and supportive underfoot the brand is so proud of.
Equally, the fit is a snug as I can remember from a set of golf shoes. Historically I have always considered golf shoes to feel quite wide and ‘roomy’, but these were the opposite of that.
That’s not a complaint in any way, I think I prefer my golf shoes to be a bit tighter, almost like a pair of football boots are.
Even though I tested these in spring in what was fairly mild conditions, I can imagine that close fit is a big plus in colder conditions. There won’t be much need for thicker socks for me this winter.
A hallmark of the Adipowers has been their on-course stability. I’m pleased to report that this is still the case for the 2026 version.
They feel solid and dependable to give you that confidence to commit to shots. The technology is by no means revolutionary, but the Traxion technology and the rubber outsole seem to be plentiful enough.
NCG Verdict
Dependable, stylish and comfortable. The holy trinity of golf shoe performance and the Adidas Adipower 26 spikeless golf shoes have all three.
The golf shoe market is a stacked with plenty of options out there but I’m not sure there are many that offer the same value-for-money as these.
Without doubt, these are my favourite golf shoes for 2026.
