Now, they have two new models. But, with one difference, the Staff Model and Staff Model X golf balls are not about fitting a broad range of golfers.
Instead, they are about delivering two distinct versions of elite performance. They are fine-tuned tuned to deliver speed off the tee, precision into greens, and control when it matters most.
Let’s take a closer look at the technology that makes these golf balls tick…
Wilson Staff Model Golf Balls 2026: The Technology
Both models are constructed as four-piece urethane golf balls. This design allows Wilson to produce a range of golf balls that that can carefully control performance across the entire bag.
It does this by separating speed, launch, and spin functions into multiple layers.
Additionally, both models of golf ball feature a thin cast urethane cover. Wilson believe this will help enhance performance on approach shot, offering more control and improving spin rates when hitting into greens.

A seamless dimple pattern is used to stabilize ball flight and help maximize distance by reducing aerodynamic inconsistencies.
In both models, driver spin is kept low to preserve speed and accuracy off the tee. It allows for a more stable ball flight, whether that be a high launch or a more penetrating flight.
Although, both models share some technological features, their cores are where they begin to differ. The Staff Model X is equipped with a firmer compression core that works to deliver a high ball flight.
The Staff Model, on the other hand, is fitted with a V-Cor Advanced Performance core. It is engineered to magnify energy transfer at impact for faster ball speeds.

This core design also helps to deliver a more controlled, penetrating ball flight that is better for longer distances in and playing in more testing weather conditions.
