Wilson Golf has expanded its popular Infinite putter line-up with the introduction of two new Zero Torque mallet models. The brand look to redefine stability on the greens with these new additions.
Zero torque putters have grown in popularity ten-fold over recent years. These are flat sticks that attempt to reduce face rotation whilst keeping the putter face more square through impact.
Most golfers turn to zero torque designed putters because promote ore repeatable rolls off the putter face. Those who struggle to prevent pushing or pulling putts find more confidence in where the ball will likely end up.
Wilson’s latest delve into this market shows just how much they are valued by the average golfer. So let’s take a closer look at what makes ‘The 606’ and the ‘Lakeview’ stand-out…

Wilson Zero Torque Infinite Putters: The technology
Wilson has engineered the centre of gravity to align directly with the shaft axis. This is designed to help minimise rotation during the putter stroke and supports a more natural square face position without requiring any additional manipulation from the golfer’s hands.
Forward shaft lean is also a feature of these models. They have one degree of this to prompt a better hand position.
Often us golfers don’t help ourselves. From a technical standpoint are game can seen questionable at best.

To help get around this, on the greens, forcing a golfer’s hands into a better position naturally when holding the club helps to deliver a square face through impact. It also keeps that natural feel which I for one think is one of the most important aspects of feeling comfortable on the putting surface.
Both The 606 and the Lakeview feature a manufacturing technique known as Metal Injection Molding (MIM). That might sound very Star Trek but it is essentially an important component to achieving zero torque performance.

It allows Wilson to create a tour-inspired shaping that still features performance-driven engineering.
Also from a visual standpoint, Wilson has included an anti-glare coating. There’s nothing worse than your putter reflecting the glare of the sun in your eyes when trying to save bogey.
Wilson Zero Torque Infinite Putters: The line-up
The 606 features compact winged -mallet profile. This is a putter all about inspiring confidence at address.

The two alignment lines that frames the golf ball also helps to achieve this. Wilson believes this level of clarity makes The 606 ideal for golfers seeking more of a structure in their putter set-up.
On the other hand, the Lakeview model offers a refined half-moon mallet design with just the one alignment line. It has a more understated appearance for those who prefer that uninterpreted traditional look of a putter.

Despite its looks it still works to deliver plenty of face stability and repeatable performance.
