This is Ping’s answer to that problem; the G440 K driver. Built to essentially be their new maximum forgiveness 10K driver offering, this could be the answer to your worries off the tee.
By combining extreme forgiveness with genuine adjustability, the G440 K represents Ping’s most stable adjustable driver to date.
Here’s how they have achieved that…
Ping G440 K Driver: The Technology
The G440 K features a 32-gram adjustable back weight that can be positioned in either a neutral, draw or fade biased setting.

Ping has increased the size of this weight by four grams from the one used in the previous G430 Max 10K model. This means there is now more mass around the perimeter of the driver which increases the levels of forgiveness and moves the centre of gravity deeper and lower in the club head.
The brand has also included their faster T9S+ face. This helps to create faster ball speed and maintain performance on off-centre strikes.
The G440 K uses a Dual Carbonfly Wrap across both the crown and sole to save weight. By removing mass from these areas, Ping has been able to reposition that weight around the perimeter of the head, including the back weight. This design contributes to higher MOI, a lower centre of gravity and improved ball speed retention.

Ping’s Free-Hosel technology removes unnecessary mass from the hosel and heel section of the club head, saving approximately three grams. This weight saving allows for increased face flexing in the heel area, which helps maintain ball speed on strikes hit low or towards the heel, a common miss for many amateur golfers.

The G440 K incorporates a composite crown bridge and acoustic sole ribs that connect the crown and sole. These structures are designed to stiffen the clubhead at impact, dampening unwanted vibrations and delivering a more muted, solid sound and feel. The result is an impact sensation that feels powerful rather than hollow or overly loud.

Ping G440 K Driver: A Closer Look
It’s important to note, that while everyone can use the Ping G440 K driver, it is best placed to be utilised by players who prefer a confidence-inspiring, full-sized driver head at address.
This is very much suited to players who want help retaining ball speed on mishits and golfers who struggle with dispersion off the tee.
Ping has designed a driver that should keep more of your tee shots in play, whilst providing consistent distances.
