Huawei first brought out their Ultimate watch series last year. Now they are back with a brand-new golf specific model with a global advanced golf course mode.

Let’s take a look a deeper look at it and what else is new with their latest golf watch…

Huawei Watch Ultimate Green Edition: Golf Features

Amongst the new golf features is Huawei’s first Golf Course Mode. This includes access to maps of over 15,000 courses worldwide, including 3,000 in the UK.

It’s a simple and effective mode to use, as users’ can search by course name or region, which will help to preview courses, download maps and even navigate courses both in the app and on the watch.

If you are someone who likes to scout a course before playing or if you need to preview a hole that you haven’t played before, then this mode is ideal. It comes with a brand-new optimised 3D course effect that brings clear, panoramic view on the clear layouts of tees, fairways, bunkers, water, and greens.

All golfers are obsessed with distances. The new update offers Real-Time Distance Measurement by utilising the Precision Dual-Frequency Five-System GNSS. Distances the front, back and centre of the green are shown to help with club selection.

Slopes on fairways are also taken into account when collecting distances, through the featured Slope Compensated Distance functionality.

This Huawei golf watch also provides you with your own personal caddie. An AI caddie to be precise. It will give you recommendations for what club to select for the distance shown. Additionally, it will also recommend where to aim after analysing current hole position, obstacles, terrain, and trajectory feedback.

The watch has also introduced features aimed at analysing performance. Golfers can now record their putting stats on the scorecard, which will help them to understand areas for improvement. Useful, if you’re like me and susceptible to the more than odd three-putt.

The Half-Score report feature is accessible after nine holes to check your score overview at the halfway mark.

A driving range mode is also available. Designed to help golfers find their ideal speed by detecting backswing time, downswing time, swing tempo, and swing speed. An aide for more efficient range sessions.

Huawei say they have blended the use of high-end materials and meticulous craftsmanship, to offer luxury not seen elsewhere in smartwatches.

Huawei Watch Ultimate Green Edition: The Technology

Firstly, famed for its luxury finish, durability and strength, this series of watch uses state-of-the-art Zirconium-based Liquid Metal. An 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display, protected by high-strength sapphire crystal glass, helps to ensure a great viewing experience regardless of light or surroundings.

The viewing is so good that its high definition visuals allow the screen to be viewed clearly both under water and during the night.

Aesthetically, the Golf Edition exclusively has a Dual-Colour Nano-Tech Ceramic Bezel. This enhances the watches durability through the use of advanced ceramic processing techniques.

Also aiding with the watch’s durability is the Zirconium-based Liquid metal body. It has extremely strong wear and corrosion resistance and is often found in medical-grade devices.

Huawei have also redesigned the watch strap. They have launched the first dual-colour Integrated woven strap, which they say is made to be exquisite, antibacterial, water-resistant and breathable. The Golf Edition also comes with two additional straps, a Deep green HNBR strap and a Premium Titanium strap.

The deep green HNBR strap has anti-wear and water-resistant properties and is often used for a contemporary look. Whereas, the premium titanium strap is much lighter than steel alternatives, and has twice the durability.

Huawei Watch Ultimate can go deeper into water than any other smartwatch as its the first to support 100-metre diving with audio functions.

All these features will be accessible for 14-days off one charge, which is very impressive.
