Commentary: Those making the trip to Littlestone will be rewarded with a difficult, but fine day of golf.

DM: There is plenty of character here.
EB: Elegant, well balanced and a testament to its design.
Commentary: Would not look out of place in Berkshire or Surrey. Along with Ashridge, the pick of the courses in this area.

EB: The high points here are high in every sense of the word.
DM: A dramatic change in character from the parkland opening holes to exposed moorland and back again.
Commentary: Recent work has improved Broadstone.

DM: This is a course that occupies an enormous canvas. It’s breathtaking and challenging in equal measure.
Commentary: The Cairngorms setting is special and so too is the run of holes in the middle of the round.

EB: One of the biggest finds for me. A pleasant surprise.
SA: Clear signs of heathland quality.
Commentary: The experience of playing in the park is sublime and very different from other Birmingham courses.

DM: Fun and scoreable ” the perfect second course.
SA: This is a wonderful balance of challenge and intrigue.
Commentary: Runs adjacent to the main course and the turf is every bit as tight and firm.

SA: High Open Qualifying scores are testament to its ability to test the best players.
EB: A very enjoyable golf course that tests all aspects of your game.
Commentary: There are many fine holes, especially on the opening seven holes which are a grand stretch of heathland golf.Â
