Reason for a Royal St. Davids Golf Club review
Commercial team’s trip to Wales, this was the first visit to one of the best golf courses in Wales for most of the group.
Where is Royal St. Davids?
In the heart of Snowdonia – North Wales. Royal St. David’s is in the small town of Harlech, sitting between Harlech Castle and the sea.
What to expect:
A championship links course of the highest calibre. The course presents a tough start, with the first of a few long testing par 4’s on the course. There are also five par 3’s all of which vary in length and difficulty.
My best bit:
The final 5 holes – now you have reached the holes in the dunes. These holes are extremely difficult and can challenge even the best of players.
What to look out for:
The stretch in the middle of the course, these holes may look scoreable on the card but are sure to catch you out with plenty of bunkers and large undulating greens.
When I go back:
Get a photo on the first tee with the castle in the backdrop. Harlech Castle is a real spectacle which can be seen from the majority of the course.
