The best courses in California (and this one isn’t even close to No. 1)
And so concludes our rundown of the best golf courses in California with this beauty…
Best golf courses in California – 1. Cypress Point
Regarded as the Sistine Chapel of golf, short-but-seductive Cypress sits on a dazzling stretch of California coastline.
One of Alister MacKenzie’s jewels, its bunkering has been restored to the style originally created by the great Scotsman and in tandem with the clearing of grass from sand dunes, the course has been renovated to arguably its most dazzling level in Cypress’ long history.
This World Top 100 classic moves between holes through dunes, through a woodland phase and is predictably at its best on the iconic seaside stretch.
